If you have the means to shoot 8mm or even old 35mm and can predictably get the look you want that's conveniently mimicked in this app, then your choice is obvious. Well....the camera appears in another behind the scenes film. It is, indeed, a Canon, just like the camera strap says. I can't tell if its a film or digital camera. But I don't know why its in that bulky case.
