Re: Guy Maddin's My Winnipeg

Which reminds me, I'm taking the footage that I'd shot for the Super 8-ring circus a few years back, adding inserts, and am going to restructure it into a short about Super 8mm shooting, if you don't mind.

Re: Negative Kodak 50D Super 8
You can get any of Kodak's 16mm films in DS8, if you are willing to buy enough of it. We're talking ton and tons of it. So, technically yes, but practically no.
And yes, used this stock before, looks amazing!

Re: article: changing landscape of film distribution
As an alternative: microcinemas (build your own) BetaSP decks are getting cheap and is a great exhibition format. HD projectors can be rented or purchased. The equipment is mobile, which makes it possible to start traveling road shows. I happen to own a mobile 8mm and 16mm projector, my issue then ...

Re: Amygdala (short experimental S8 film)
I think it's their "detect which version of flash" code which might be spitting out the error. Youtube had that problem for a few days about a month ago. Turned out that when flash's "revision" number on Linux systems went past 2 digits it caused the whole string to be moved one ...

Re: Amygdala (short experimental S8 film)
Would love to watch unfortunately the vimeo site keeps telling me I need Flash 9 to play it. (I'm running the latest Flash 9 release) Their tech support seems uninterested in fixing this issue, so the site does not do me much good. I've all but switched to Flickr now due to their disinterest in maki...
