Re: What reversal Super8 films do you use?

The absence of affordable color reversal stock is what has fueled my "missing in action" status from this forum the last couple of years. I pop in here every once in a while in hopes of reading about a new affordable product release but alas nadda. If I'm reading correctly, Kodak no ...

Re: Indy 500 16mm Artist Film

I shot a few rolls of Kodachrome at the Brickyard over the years. Sadly never got around to doing anything with them other than screening them.

16mm looks a lot better, wish I could have afforded to dabble in it back in the day.

How much time do we have left before stock dries up and processing ceases?

Re: NLE's, looking for opinions of current offerings

Thanks, I'd read that as well about V10 using the card for MPEG4 related conversions. It appears that I just missed the boat, Sony had an upgrade sale on V10 for half price through Feb 28th...Snooze you lose. 8O Maybe they'll reopen their sale again soon. Are there any rumors to a release 11 in the ...

NLE's, looking for opinions of current offerings

Hi all, I recently put together a new I7 series video editing PC. I have separate system, source and destination SATA drives, 12GB of tri-channel RAM and a GTX460 NVidia graphics card, basically everything a growing boy needs to get up and going with a new PC. I've a question regarding current state...

100D direct from Kodak

Anyone purchase a 10pk of 100D from Kodak yet? If so what was the landed cost? I'm wondering what their current prices are like, It's been a couple years since I ordered a full pack of S8 film from them. I managed to empty my film fridge this summer now it's time to move on to a new emulsion. Regard...

Re: Two Busted Cameras

I've a 514xls that I had to disassemble and lubricate the motor shaft. It was completely froze up initially. As I recall after lubricating the shaft bearings with furnace fan oil and breaking loose the shaft I had to manually turn the shaft by hand for quite some time before the motor ran freely. It...

Re: Does VNF process resulting blue cast on our 8mm process?

I know it doesn't help matters any but your Kodachrome was definately not processed using the VNF or E6 process. Kodachrome uses a K-14 process, this is in no way similar to the others listed above. If they had processed K40 using non-K14 I'd imagine the result to look more monochrome, black and whi...

Re: Price from Kodak

Tim, I just might have to, I'd hate to get Mr Evans mad at me. I didn't know the Indycars were running tonight, thanks for the tip. I so used to the next race after Indy being Milwaukee....sadly enough no more Milwaukee. However LeMans next week, I'm looking forward to that! Sheesh did we hija...
