K-40 (USA)

Hi,

I've got essentially the same question except I'm in the US. Where to get Kodachrome and processing? I bought five cartridges plus mailers from B&H Photo and by the time I paid shipping it worked out to nearly $20.00 a cartridge.

Are there better deals out there?

That looks like a pretty sweet rig. IMHO, the cranks are too close together - you don't have long for the film to dry before it hits the takeup reel so you'd have to crank SLOWLY. I think the primary advantage would be that it will meter out your cleaner consistently. That could be significant bith ...

Barter, anyone?

I'm the happy owner of a new Workprinter XP. I'd like to aquire a nice Super 8 camera as well. The features I'm primarily interested in are an intervalometer and 36 or 54 fps. Rank Turbo vs Sniper in PC Magazine!

Congratulations Roger. I think your results compare quite well with the Rank transfer. The magazine article ought to lead to a volume spike in your business.

Take Care.

It's a loop former. If the image starts to jump and the projector begins chattering during projection, push down on the button to reform the loop. The "F" and "R" ends of the rocker button are pushed depending on whether the projector is in forward or reverse operation. Hope this...

FilmGuard

That was a quick reply! I'm just getting started with the telecine stuff; my WorkPrinter is supposed to be finished this week. Hurry back from LA, Roger! I've got the parts put aside in my garage to build a rewinding rig and I've been reading about various brands of film cleaners and really liked th...

Re: FilmGuard

I'd like to give FilmGuard a try, however I've read that the first time or two you screen a film that's been treated, it looks streaky. Did you find that to be an issue with your WorkPrinter?
