Re: Filming titles
Take a reading of the gray card - it'll be fine. You can make slight adjustment if you like, to aperture depending on whether you're shooting on reversal or negative film.

Oh, didn't see Richard's post - it wasn't visible for some reason.
He had already answered all your questions.
The pharmacy is still there - I go into it from time to time. I think the very pretty chemist lady is still there

Re: Is Elizabeth Pharmacy (Aust) still selling 8mm?
Yes, they were selling super 8 at the lowest prices; i used to buy my super 8 cartridges from there. They stopped selling super 8 film a while back - i think it was when K40 was discontinued. They don't sell super 8 anymore - the lady at the time had said that it was difficult for them to stock supe...

Re: Nizo Ultrawide Lens
I use one with my 801M. It’s very nice however only when there is plenty of light. Otherwise the picture becomes blurry.
Another thing to note is that it is not real glass but plastic. It would have been superb if it was glass.

Re: Nikon Coolscan Thoughts
I have the previous model, Nikon Coolscan 4000. I always shoot true b+w film and always scan in RGB. I can then select which channel I prefer over the other, or simply convert the whole image into grayscale. Scanning RGB is quicker than scanning b+w (it is on my machine). RGB also scans in more deta...

I haven't printed directly all that much however I do print onto labels at work all the time and I don't have any problems. I think that the label actually protects the disc better??? I'm not sure, but isn't the data closer to the top surface of a burnt disc, making it the more sensitive side??? Don...

I have been using the HVX along with a workprinter unit. My transfers have only been in SD cause I cannot get the PC to recognize the DVCPROHD Codec through firewire. I did tests on a macbook pro and the mac can capture the dvcprohd using capturemate with no problem. I just need to throw down the c...
