Re: Kodak K100

Thank you for your comments, for a while I thought no one was going to respond. I have been aware of the Kodak K 100 for sometime, but never used one until now. It’s an interesting design, a fairly heavy camera, it seems Kodak weren’t keen on placing the spools vertically, it doesn’t feel awkward to...

Kodak K100

I have just got a Kodak K100 16mm camera and like it. Has anyone ever used an electric motor with one? Apparently there is a port to use an electric motor, but no detail of how and which motor.

Thought I'd add to this, this is how I thread the magazines;

Re: Yet another DIY film scanner project (again.)

How do you get the Panasonic camera trigger when the film stops? In my set up I use a small Samsung camera and it's remote is linked via a micro switch to the machine so it triggers whenever the frame stops. Since the camera automatically saves each picture by numbering, it is easy to use Virtual Du...

Re: Bolex H16 Rex prism

I have done this many times, when cleaning, to clean off any smudges that I've made I use acetone liquid.

Re: 16mm shot on 50’ magazines

Those films are excellent and show that these cameras work great with new film stock. Only recently I got interested in the 50ft magazine cameras, after seeing some old home movies I was pleasantly surprised at and how good these were and then I saw these films online which are remarkable. The porta...

Re: 16mm magazine

This is excellent, very steady images. Did you load the magazine the simple way, or the preferred Kodak way? What do you think caused the scratch? Just realized it's 1R film so it's most likely loaded the simple way unless the magazine was adapted.

Re: 16mm magazine

He is referring to the brass plate that holds the pressure plate as it is it curls up at the bottom he has turned it around so that the curl is at the top. I have loaded some Vision film this way and am filming so lets see.

16mm magazine

I have never really been interested in 16mm magazine cameras until now, the run times are short, just over one minute at 24 fps and you need double perf film. Whenever anyone at my workshops asks about 16mm magazine cameras I have always made a point to tell them to stay away from them. While these ...

16mm

I shot some film last week, it came out pretty well, quite steady as I shot with my ACL at the same time, the footage is indistinguishable, except the ACL is Super 16 I put the film online https://vimeo.com/252682406.

Bell and Howell 16mm

I have a Bell and Howell 627 camera which is the same as the 240T. I want to know how long should the camera run for a 24 fps when the camera is fully wound? I have one camera that runs for 45 seconds and one for 55 seconds.
