Trees, Soil & Waves

Hi, Slightly leftfield question but I'm trying to track down old Super 8 or 16mm footage of trees (how they grow, roots etc.), soil (in terms of roots, tree), like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-16mm-Educational-film-Soil-and-Water-Living-/150625567091#ht_500wt_967 And waves (as in the sea) f...

Drying Super 8

Any recommendations for making an efficient device for drying processed Super 8? Have a new darkroom and the days of hanging it on the clothes dryer at home are (hopefully) over.

Thanks.

Re: 16mm time-lapse star trails

Thanks for the replies. Price for the DVD is the norm here, I don't mind though as LUX DVD's are always very well put together and feature work that is altogether difficult to see. I've just ordered the Mettler doc. looks very interesting indeed! In regards the 16mm star-shots - we're essentially af...

16mm time-lapse star trails

I've just purchased the Tobin TTL for the Bolex Rex5, I'm interesting in a star trail sequence for a film I'm working on and am looking for some advice as to camera settings and possible film stocks (currently thinking of KODAK VISION3 500T). One reference point is a film by Emily Richardson titled ...

Re: 16mm Time Lapse

thanks Richard. Do you know if the 'long exposure' function is controllable or simply dependent on the fps you set the system to?

16mm Time Lapse

I'm looking to purchase a 16mm time-lapse system for a Bolex H16 Rex 5 but a bit unsure as to all the kit I'll need. I think: Camera (have) Tobin TTL (a good unit?) External battery unit (Any recommendations? Do these have mains adapters as well? How long do these typically last run off battery powe...

Re: Bolex H8 time-lapse motor recommendations

thanks. It's the older version, the H8 RX. I had a self-built motor that worked well for a year or so but too much use and it's starting to fall apart. Would like to upgrade but just not sure what to get....if a Tobin was to work that would be great, some of those designs are incredible but I think ...

Bolex H8 time-lapse motor recommendations

Can anyone recommend a time-lapse motor for the Bolex H8 and anywhere I might find one? I'm interested in the full spectrum of motors, I know there will probably be quite a huge range of prices!

Thanks.

Re: 16mm Projector Question - US to UK power

Thanks for all the replies to my question....I have just picked up the projector and scanning the plate reads: Kodak Analyst II Projector Model AV26L 120 Volts 50/60Hz 300 Watts Max So based upon this info, am I right in thinking the amazon product below (as per Angus' post) should do the trick? htt...

16mm Projector Question - US to UK power

Hi,

Just purchased a 16mm projector from the US to run in the UK (Kodak Analyst II). I know I need a transformer but can anyone point me in the right direction as to the correct one?

Thanks.

Re: Variable Speed 16mm Projector

Am currently looking at a 16mm Kodak Analyst II projector, does anyone have any experience of this machine? It would be from the US so presumably I'd need a transformer for use in the UK? If so, where might I get one from? I also cannot find any info. about the fps that the projector can move throug...
