Filmshooting

Finally managed to get a film online. It's something I did a few years ago with my Nizo on the 'auto b' setting. It's called 'Self Portrait'.

Hello, I haven't been here for a while... I am a participant in the 'Pulse of Life' short film. I have tried many ways but I have not ever been able to download it. :( If anyone is willing to download 5 copies to 5 DVD's for me (to be viewed in USA DVD's) I would be grateful.... Let me know the cost...

I had a friend try to download the DVD (NTSC version), his connection at his work is extremely fast (T1 I think). He tried it twice and it failed after about 2 gigs each time (1 1/2-2 hours). I also tried it on a computer with a DSL connection. After about 6 hours I paused it and it would not start ...

After downloading it on windows media player the transitions are much better than Quicktime......but it is much DARKER......(?)....but I am on dial up anyhow, tomorrow I'll try another computer with high speed connection and see if I can burn to DVD... My only complaint now is - it was too SHORT!!!!...

I must say I am happy with the result. Thanks Andreas and everyone else. Although, there are 1 or 2 transitions I don't like (maybe they will look better on DVD). Can we make a new agreement here? Anyone submitting the film to a festival PLEASE tell us in ADVANCE..(on this thread) That way we can avoid sending DUPLICATES to same festivals and can also work TOGETHER with any person who has the same festival in mind as another one of us.... I am thinking about ...

some of this stuff is knock-out cool!! im so glad i got to see it.
even if the film is not finished soon, i wouldnt mind just getting a copy of everyones complete footage (we are still getting that, right?)....

Have you tightened every screw? Cleaned and lubed it good? Made sure nothing felt 'loose'? Is there a hidden piece of film jammed in somewhere along the film path?
Are your films clean? How are the splices, smooth?

I wrote 2 emails to Flicker NYC and asked if they screened Standard 8 and I got no replies.
