1014, Insect in the Lens

Hi

I just posted about the 1014E I borrowed off a friend. I was inspecting it last night, and while holding the Lens towards my face I noticed a tiny bug suspended right in the middle of the lens!

Any ideas on what to do?

Canon 1014E & Tungsten Shooting

Hi

I'm used to using my Nizo S48, but it's having some issues at the moment so I'm going to send it off to get looked at.

In the meanwhile, my friend has leant me a Canon 1014 Autozoom Electronic that he has had for a while but has never filmed with it. I'm used to the Nizo's the Sun/Lamp switch ...

Got my stuff back from nanolab, exactly 2 weeks from the day I posted it. Really good turnover, communication and excellent packaging, I'm impressed.

Thanks for the info guys

But does anyone know how these slides will be returned as they will be double the frame size of 35mm horizontally due to the panoramic frame size of the Hasselblad? Should i put a note in the envelope?

Non Super 8 Kodachrome question

Hi

I'm going to buy some K-64 35mm to run through someone's Hasselblad X-Pan Panoramic camera. When I send these off to get processed will they come back uncut since the panoramic image the Hasselblad takes is larger that a 35mm slide?

I'm in the UK, and as far as I know K-64 here is still ...

Rolls that came back Black from the Lab

Hi

Does anyone have any rolls of Super8 that came back totally black that they would like to send to me? I need a few rolls to black in between some shots on something I'm working on.

Thanks

The Hama UK site doesn't list any of the products in the above link

Does anyone know where I can find the coloured leaders that Hama makes?

Thanks for all the help!

Hama Splicer

Hi

I need to invest in a good splicer at the moment, do you guys recommend the Hama one that 7dayshop sells?

I've never spliced Super 8, but I've spliced lots of 16mm with a guillotine splicer that had a blade on the side to 'cut' the film with.

How would I cut the film when it comes to super 8 ...

Angus

They've got a disclaimer saying that the original neg will be a bit tattered after the printing process, have yours been in good condition after it? Also was how long their turn around?

Andec Prints

Hi

I searched through the form about the Super 8 Prints Andec makes from Neg.

Has anyone had these prints made, if so were they happy with them?

Cheers

Hi

The pre greens-screen technique was called 'rear projection', they would project film onto a screen behind the car.

It's not totally dead. Wes Anderson used in the Life Aquatic. In the scene where Cate Blanchett is interviewing Bill Murray and he pulls a gun on her, the window behind him with ...
