Re: Canon DS-8 wanted

I do still have 2 CANON DS-8 cameras in mint condition plus lots of accessories (like external battery holder for cold temperatures, original case, filters, cable and electric release, etc...) Due to a handicap I can´t use these beloved cameras of mine anymore... Each only 350,- incl. shipping wi...

Re: I'm Back

Hi guys, it´s been also a while for me since I´ve logged into this great forum. And yes, quite a few things have changed - film wise. But despite the fact that digital is getting stronger and stronger there will always be a few companies that provide enthusiasts of every kind with their needed...

Ideally there could be a new small guage format consisting of Vision 3 stocks, and a new DS8 camera with wider gate. Film is becoming so high resolve that its limitations are no longer the small fames, but the gear and cartridges. A stock in DS8 is so much sharper than the same stock in S8. Vision ...

Re: Back to DS8?

You´ll love the results from the Canon DS8 with the 100D. I only shot one test roll so far - but wow! Projected it was like 16mm. Doing a workprinter transfer should then also be great. Haven´t used it but Kahl in Germany (I know...) is selling F250T negative stock in DS8. Anyone tried it yet?...

DS8 - Well and alive!

Not a single week is passing by when I don´t read some news about new material for my beloved Canon DS8! I never believed that when I bought the camera two years ago, I´ll have more than one stock (K40) at my disposal. Today the following stock is available from different sources: B/W Kahl UP ...

I bought the Manfrotto several years ago and am really satisfied with its performance. Even with heavy cameras (up to 6 kgs) it makes nice pans and can be tightly locked. And as a semi-pro tripod it´s also more affordable than the pro versions... Here´s a link: http://www.wittner-kinotechnik.d...

Hi popcassady,
yes it says that they are designed to fit Super8 reels onto 16mm rewinders. Especially for Meopta but fits also on several other brands.
And yes, they come in pairs.

PS: They fit square shafts which have to be circular at the front end.

Greetings,

I liked the 'Film Fair'. I´ve been twice on such events and really liked the athmosphere and to observe the other film nuts, like myself.

Did you use a movie light during the shoot?

Hi eightmm,
your images give me quite a bit that "Sound of Music" feeling

I´m currently shooting some scenes for a golf DVD with my Canon DS8 and the 100D. Hadn´t have the time to test the stock before but I´m really excited about the results....

Now if I left a mag with that cover on the train, somebody might pick it up! Definitely! If the rights to the picture are obtained by the publisher than it would be a nice cover for a "smallformat"-flyer. No man can withstand two beautiful women and - on second view - a Super-8 camera! Mo...

I have some S8 porn I could let you borrow... It used to get a great reaction as I would project it onto the snow covered sidewalks at night. Good LUck Was that "reaction" or "erection"? 8) I wonder if any lab would willingly make a s8 print of copyrighted material, say a hollyw...

The modified 500EL does look a lot like a Super 8 camera, mainly because of the pistol grip. One small handgrip for mankind... and they fooled me. But I wonder how did it protect the film not being melt by the sunlight on the moon. And we worry about x-rays on airports... I like the poster ar...
