Sure, the film cost more than the £100 he himself spent (that smashed car window in the trailer probably doubled the budget...) Thanks for the kind words! The car window scene was shot without breaking any glass. We found a phone-box that had been vandalized, there was a guy there clearing it up...

Hey, Driftwood is beginning to turn into a pretty good debate! To start with in answer to bigbeaner's question (oh, and thanks for watching!) he asked about how many of us worked on this. We had 11 cast members and 2 main crew members, including myself. Furthermore, it was a project to show off the ...

Re: Driftwood
Thanks escubria. I did have some post production issues that forced me to re-shoot 70% of the entire film in regards to somebody withdrawing his props and because of that it took me 3 years to make! - If I hadn't have done it myself it would have definitely been written off!! Cheers for the reply, P...

Driftwood
Escubria,
Thanks for your input. I personally think it looks okay for a 100 quid budget myself (to say the trailer has been extracted from a DVD including several special features along with a full cast and directors commentary. I only did this one for promotion, not profit.
cheers,
Pete

Re: Driftwood
Hey matt, Don't get me wrong, this isn't a trailer for a box office smash. If I gave you the film (that was shot for a 100 pound) even you would hesitate for a while before making the first cut for the trailer. All I'm saying is, this was film, acted, edited and authored (the first copy anyhow) onto...

i think it's ok as long as everybody knows the deal, but i don't think it's ok to exclude these expenses from the budget just because the filmmaker doesn't pay from his own pocket. hmm, so you think it's ok to invest less then 100 pounds in your own film while each crew member has most likely spent...

Driftwood
ok, looked pretty cool, interesting even, but the trailer really sucked. way too many cuts that i guess were supposed to look cool but only looked stale. too much talking as well but most of all it's way too long. cut to the chase. i have a very short attention span but even though i *wanted* to se...

Driftwood
pete, i have no idea why you are doing this (other then maybe generate marketing hype) but there is no way you could make a film of this scale with a budget of 100 quid. unless you had your cast and crew paying for food, phone calls, petrol etc.. and if you have done that, shame on you. ++ christop...

I know it sounds unbelievable that a feature film can be made for that amount. Of-course this message was sent out to film-makers who already have the BASIC equipment. So excluding the 1 camera, tripod and PC that I already had, I can honestly say that my film could have cost 100 pounds if I was on ...
