Re: Timelapse project 2004

Still looking forward to seeing the finished product, and getting my film back. I haven't moved, still at the same address. This project is, what, something like 8 years old?

Re: Film Length in a Cartridge

Kodak is the only major producer of Super 8 film in cartridges. I doubt there would be much variation from one cart to another, as I expect the process is entirely automated. But I don't know for sure. Pro-8mm and Andec and maybe others slit, perf, and load various films into Super 8 cartridges. The...

Re: Does anyone still develop kodachrome 40?

I have 50 carts of K40 in my freezer, so I'll be using it and processing it as b&w reversal.

Re: New handbook about SUPER 8

I haven't posted here in a long time. But this book caught my eye and so I just ordered it from amazon.com. It's timely, as I need a refresher before I start shooting again. I'll need to get my Beaulieu 6008S repaired now.

I'm looking forward to reading the book.

Here is a youtube vid, not very good quality and may not be exactly your camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87X7LULgszw Here is another site that shows the camera that I have: http://haardt.net/quartz2x8s-3.htm Many of the links on that site are broken. You might contact Olexandr Kalynychenko an...

Re: Legal action for failure to renew smallformat?

I appreciate all the thoughtful comments from all of you about this situation. Juergen, I would be remiss if I did not mention that I enjoy reading Smallformat magazine. Every issue is a pleasure to read. Roger correctly identified the situation. I have never before encountered a perpetually renewin...

Legal action for failure to renew smallformat?

I got an odd letter from Schiele & Schon today, from their Accounts Receivable department. They say: Dear Madam or Sir, you unfortunately did not react to our reminder concerning unpaid invoices(s). In the meantime we furthermore had costs and negative interests for what we charge you additional...

The light re-exposes all remaining silver after the first developer and bleach. It doesn't take that long. As I posted in another thread a while back One lumen falling on one square foot of surface produces an illumination of one foot candle. Household tungsten lights vary in efficiency and output. ...

I still have more than 50 carts of K40 in my freezer. I hope Dwayne's and Wal-Mart will continue processing it after September when the Kodak lab in Switzerland shuts down. Dang. My Beaulieu 6008 won't hold focus when zooming anymore. I guess I need to drag out the 'ol Elmo 1012 S-XL or maybe my clo...

I've been away for a few months. This pass the cart concept sounds like fun. I'd like to get in on it. How does it work, what are the objectives, and how may I do it?

I confess I haven't read the whole thread. I'd be mostly interested in B&W.

I have an older 814 Auto Zoom that I paid too much for on Ebay a number of years ago. It was supposed to be in working condition, but it was actually far from it. Instead, the battery compartment had ancient exploded batteries in it. I dug them out and cleaned the battery compartment, but I couldn't...

However...if they ever dare axe 35mm Kodachrome there will be headlines...and negative publicity...and bad feeling. they tried it before, the pros were up in arms. There's still enough pros shooting 35mm K'chrome to kick up a fuss. It'll be interesting to see if this is really the case still in thi...

The government may not care about the religious significance of the site but I am certain that is the excuse they are using for the length of the sentence. I personally think the imprisonment is a shakedown to get more money. I'm sure if the guy's representatives cough up enough dough, he'll be let...
