Re: Which of these 3 cameras is best for low light?
One of the best low light cameras is the Canon 310XL with the f/1.0 lens. There is a manual focus and an auto focus version. I have used the AF310XLS and could take wedding films in poorly lit missions with good results. The Kodachrome was amazing that it could be used with so little light. J.S. Be...

Re: Which external light meter do you use/recommend?
I use a free light meter app on my iPhone. I did so on a new Samsung S5 smartphone and films came back highly underexposed specially in some not-shiny conditions. I guess those free apps give variable results depending a lot on the smartphone concrete model. I finally bought a Sekonik 308-L and it ...

Re: All initial 40x Logmar Super 8 cameras have been pre-sol
O.K. here I go, the profit of doom again. What good is a limited production run, state of the art, combustion engine Lamborghini, which costs over one million dollars, when oil becomes obsolete? Hoy much would you pay for a NEW Super8 camera? This one is no expensive at all. Those Canons and Beauli...

Re: All initial 40x Logmar Super 8 cameras have been pre-sol
This is very good news. 40 cameras at once... that's easy to say!
Being such a "expensive" (not really) camera and proffessional, it definitely shows there is interest in the format.

Re: New to film
Mr Nowhill is a good source! Anyway I don't think the 7363 emulsion is most suitable for a new one... It is a very hi contrast film (in fact is it not designed to be used as reversal, but as positive print film) and it is difficult to expose it correctly. I'd go for a tipical B/W reversal film.

I cannot consider him as a good actor. Always played "himself". Anyway his smile seemed to catch everybody's eyes. That's all.
