Re: Does film cement keep forever?

I remember that when I was new to this and started splicing my first film in 1988 I tried to use a Kodak cement which was then about 10 y.o., perfectly closed, and it didn't work well, so my father bought a new bottle for me. For the price of a bottle doen't worth the risk...

But Ektachrome is reversal film, not positive film for projection prints...

Re: E100VS discontinued...What does this mean for E100D?

I agree with the non-catrastrofic opinions here: - Kodak has ONLY announced discontinuation of 3 reversible films, and in 135 photo: KODAK PROFESSIONAL EKTACHROME E100G Film KODAK PROFESSIONAL EKTACHROME E100VS Film KODAK PROFESSIONAL ELITE Chrome Extra Color 100 Film - There is another fourth which...

Re: kahl film no longer selling to consumers?

Just ask Wittner about shipping tariffs. I already did, thanks. I always try to discuss about what I know. And check yourself for your own rates to and from Germany. http://www.deutschepost.de Done As stated earlier I know shipping to and from Spain is terribly expensive. You are more than wrong. I...

Re: kahl film no longer selling to consumers?

What you find doesn't really matter and isn't automatically true. I'm more than glad to hear that I was wrong... So could you please explain how could I buy from Wittner, say a pair of cartridges or R8 spools and film cement that I could be buying from BlueCineTech for example, spending less than t...

Re: The real Agfa still does cine film!

Kodak 7363 is also a positive stock and is loaded in Super8 carts by Pro8mm to be used as reversible ASA 10.

Also Foto R3 in Spain is loading super8 cartridges with B/W Agfa APX 100, although not cheap due to small batches, but the option is out there. You can visit their website.

Re: kodak bankrupt

Article about the profitability of Kodak film: http://www.bjp-online.com/british-journal-of-photography/news/2140216/-film-division-profitable-kodak A promising quote from the article: Silverprint, a UK distributor and retailer of film equipment, agrees, stating that "over the last 12 months o...

Re: kodak bankrupt

True. But in the worst case scenario (for consumers of film rather than lovers of companies or of Kodak) this is irrelevant. It doesn't ultimately matter whether Kodak's outlook, as a corporation, is bright or black. Since the film side of the business is profitable it will be easy for Kodak to sel...

With big corporations profits are not everything. Profit and Growth is! Re: kodak bankrupt

Why people insist on killing Kodak even at film forums? They have already explained thousand times:

- Film sales are profitable for Kodak
- Kodak have asked for voluntary bankrupt in order to reorganize all it's businesses
- Kodak plans include of course to continue manufacturing film

...so ??

Re: kahl film no longer selling to consumers?

Looking at the website of kahl film and tv. States they are no longer selling to individuals, just businesses, whatever that means, and the minimum is 100 euro. any experience with kahl on this? In practice this attitude is similar to Wittner's: at twenty-something € per delivery doesn't make...

It is fully available time ago, for example in Wittner and other common shops.
