Does anyone know if battery belts for Arri's (just in general) can be connected to the grid, and then be used as power supply for the camera? That is, simultaneously charging the battery and feeding the camera with the correct voltage/current?

Uppsala Bildteknik is still around, and I'm very satisfied with their scanning services. I think you can find Kent from Uppsala Bildteknik on this forum.

Cutting a filter notch will put it at 160/100 with the 814XLS. I can live with that for the 1/3rd overexposure. Let's see if I got this: I'm using a Canon 814 autozoom electronic. By cutting the filter notch and using the internal filter for outdoor shooting, will the V2 200T be exposed at 100 ASA?...

Dirt in film gate?

I found this cement-like stuff (see picture below) in the upper part of the film gate of my Bolex H16. It doesn't seem to belong there - is it dirt? It's very hard, and I'm afraid trying to remove it might make it sharper and more likely of scratching the film. As it is now it's not touching the fil...

Canon 814 aze (question about slow motion)

I have a question regarding exposure during slow-motion for my Canon 814 Autozoom Electronic. The slow motion (~40 fps) is activated as long as I'm pressing down a "slow-mo" button (separated from the 18/24 fps knob). I'm planning to film a slow motion scene with locked exposure, so the qu...

Unfortunately, I don't think it's serviced. So this has to be taken into account when deciding the price.

How much to pay for a Beaulieu 3008-S?

I'm thinking of buying a Beaulieu 3008-S. Supposing the condition is OK, how much is reasonable to pay for it?
