Norisound 412 Projector Manual

I just got my hands on a Norisound 412 projector and was wondering if anyone had a manual for one. Preferably in English but I can translate it obviously. I am aware of one or two sites that sell it but I thought I would check here first.

I think any S8 camera, whatever the model, can only really be judged today by its ability to function more or less than 30 years after it came off the assembly line. My point is that some cameras may well have been superior models back in 197- but have not, over the intervening years, aged at all we...

try pushing plus-x, it looks fantastic. whether this is because of the increase in density you get from underexposing it, which you've seen, or the decrease the pushing causes i don't know, probably both. i've never tried it with the new one but with the old one i pretty much made it standard proce...

Really enjoyed that Steve. I watched it on YouTube and was pleasantly surprised at how good the quality of the image was considering the inevitable losses with compression. Do you have any tips regarding uploading work to YouTube and minimising the loss of picture quality?

Now im all confused, Mitch says "make sure the filter is displaced, especially indoors. Insert filter key thingy in the slot on top of the camera." So he says make sure its displaced and than insert the key thingy in the slot. :? That's what the key thingy does, you slot it in and it move...

Sorry that was misleading, when I said don't worry about the filter I meant don't use it, as Mitch said, 'displace it'.

You don't need to worry about the filter if you are shooting B&W. Good luck with your film. I hope you have fun and if you haven't already, I would recommend shooting a few carts just to test the camera and get a feel for the possibilities of the Tri-X too. I always try to shoot tests that - if ...

Gray Day Shooting

It's one of those gray days in Berlin today. No sign of the sun. Flat light and not much of it. I'm twiddling my thumbs and wondering if there is any point shooting today. There must be a way of getting some interesting shots even in flat low light. Maybe a cart of Tri X? Perhaps some filters to pun...

I was planning to a shoot a short S8 film based on a Saki story "Sredni Vashtar" last year. I wrote to Max Von Sydow to ask him if he would narrate it. I got a handwritten letter from him saying "No". I also took a Hollywood star on a guided tour around the Globe Theatre, London ...

200t is perfect for that stuff /matt Did you make a typo, Mattias or are you recommending 200T over 500T for neon lit night stuff? I am asking out of my own ignorance and inexperience rather than challenging you on this - but how will a slower film give me better results in these specific condition...

You could always try shutterless. http://www.filmshooting.com/scripts/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17933 vidwerk Thanks for that vidwerk. Did you manage to get a bit more contast and brightness out of that footage? Hmmm pity there isn't a colour stock that's fast, dirty and contrasty as Tri X. Now that wo...

City Night Life, Neon Signs - Any Tips?

Just got back from a freezing cold night 'on the streets' of Berlin trying to capture some of that neon lit city night life. Armed with my Nikon R10, my frankly rather limp Linhof tripod (anyone want to sell me a Bogen 501 - Steve?) and a cart or two of Kodak Vision2 500T. I was pretty disappointed ...

Well I think I will get it repaired. As luck would have it I have managed to pick up another defective GS8 and will take that along as a donor camera - might bring the repair bill down too. I'll let them know that there may be some potential customers across the water and ask them how best for you g...
