I suspect how to videos will uptake the slack but I am personally not to anxious to see 1000 yuppie Super 8 films produced.

No Will. Not referring to outside scans. I was referring to the Logmar's internal process.

Re: Kodak awakens, new S8 camera announced at CES '16
Logmar may have implemented the same audio design as their original Beta canera. Each camera start/stop is synchronized to a sequential stamped audio file with a unique file file number. However, it never worked in the original Logmar camera. Coupled with the camera's digital servo motor/sprocket wh...

Super 8 Schneider-Kreuznach 6-180mm f/1.8 Variogon lens
An optical behemoth and legend has been acquired by an American friend. Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH originally manufactured this incredible Schneider-Kreuznach 6-180mm f/1.8 Variogon lens (30x) made for Beaulieu 6008/7008/9008 series Super 8 cameras. I was only aware of it's existence as a pr...

16mm Bolex Film Camera on a Drone
Some enterprising "students" attached a Bolex 16mm film camera to a drone for some spectacular shots over a US desert. The making of video contains beautiful scanned excerpts of the Bolex aerial cinematography. Shot on Kodak Vision 3 50D color negative. They used the following equipment, i...

Re: A few new experimental films
Beautiful tracking shot. Well done. It did invoke Tarr. I like how the actress drops the cigarette but the track continues with the male actor. Bravo! Gorgeous b/w stock. Orwo? and another new one, misfire: <a class="vglnk" href="https://youtu.be/GREU15t5aGQ" rel="nofollow&q...

Kodak Digital Team accepting reservations for new S8 camera
The Kodak "Digital" Team is now accepting reservations (limit of one) for the new forthcoming Kodak Super 8 camera. Logmar is designing the hardware and software. Interesting how the fine print stipulates that there is no obligation to purchase the camera and new members of the "Super...

Re: The Panascope/UltraPan8 conversions of Marco Kroger
Interesting question slashmaster. But I suspect that adding pin registration is overkill for this camera. It would not be a trivial undertaking. I will pass on your comments to Marco.

The Panascope/UltraPan8 conversions of Marco Kroger
I would like to officially introduce the amazing optical-mechanical work of Marco Kroger of the former East Germany. He is not a member of this forum and may be contacted on Facebook. Marco studied at the Technische Universität Chemnitz and he is actively adapting, modifying, converting, retro-fi...
