I've been getting ready to transfer all my old films and have 10 x 400 foot reels of Regular 8mm film ready, unedited of course.

How about some Regular 8mm leader? The Kodak catalog listed did not show any.

That picture is 1253 x 918 pixels. Is that Pal HD???

Local new cameras are 1080i that play on a progressive DVD player and screen so it becomes progressive from the camera interlace. A film capture would be progressive anyway.
