Archive Reel Storage...

It's been years ago, but I bought 500 or so archival reels that stored 400ft of film each from SOMEone... Can't remember who. They were nice, smokey dark plastic that had a storage case and stacked flat one on another as well. Now I'm out and need some more but, who sells them? Can anyone help my me...

Re: Capturemate crashes on OS X 10.6 (Snow Leapord)

I did a repair permissions on all my drives and reinstalled Capturemate. It seems to be working perfectly now. I'd recommend that you do a repair permissions after any OS update or install. I guess I forgot to do this.

Capturemate crashes on OS X 10.6 (Snow Leapord)

Well I upgraded to OS X 10.6 yesterday and am now unable to run Capturemate. It crashes immediately on launch even after it's been reinstalled. Is anyone else having this issue?

Re: Waveform Monitor with Cinecap/Capturemate?

This issue leads me to a theoretical question regarding the workprinters ability to capture a "still" image. The workprinter itself operates by stopping the frame while it's in the gate for a micro second, while the timing disk triggers a mouse click to capture the image. The whole unit is...

Re: Waveform Monitor with Cinecap/Capturemate?

I'm not interested in adding any more hardware to my desk area. My workshop is small and cluttered already. It would seem though that there would be a way to do this internally in the computer. I can monitor waveforms and vectroscopes with monitor magic, but then I lose the ability to capture the im...

Waveform Monitor with Cinecap/Capturemate?

Recently started transferring films again, however I have downgraded my camera since I'm leaving my Workprinter XP and the camera permanently set up. This camera does not have a waveform monitor or really any type of camera controls. At first I though, Not a problem, I can use Monitor Magic http://w...

Does anyone have a download link for CineCap?

Hey everyone. It's been a while since I was on here stiring things up. I recently finished some big projects and now I'm back to transfering my S8 films. However, I can't find a good link to download cinecap. I've looked on moviestuff.tv and all over alternaware.com but to no avail. Please help, I'm...

Re: Submissions Away!

We shot it on DV tape. Film was simply going to be too expensive to even consider plus given the experience of the crew, or lack thereof, shooting digital gave us more room to experiment. My god, what a shooting ratio too, I think that we ended up with something like 50+ hours of tape that had to be...

Submissions Away!

Hello all, this is what I have been up to recently On Tuesday I mailed off submissions of the first feature film I've worked on to Austin, Dallas and New York film festivals. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. For those of you who don't remember, the movie is called "Between Heaven and Hell" ...

this is just simply a compression issue. Their footage is brightly lit and the cameras have very slow movement. That type of footage holds up a lot better to heavy compression than faster moving or darker footage.

stage6 is shutting down on thursday.

It appears that Stage6.com is shutting down. I hate to see a site like this one go. It was one of the only places I knew of that still offered high quality video and not the crap you see on youtube. I'm sure that maybe a couple of others exist but probably wont for much longer. Farewell high quality...
