I just wanted to let everyone know that last saturday went great. A whole buch of people got into one room and really didn't know what the hell was going on some seventy-seven minutes later. It was a very good reaction. So now it's on to New York! I also just finalized a deal with a nice indie DVD ...

I think many festivals have been turned off by the film's extremely strange style but the Pioneer Theater in New York is showing it in an exclusive engagement f...

One of the reasons I chose Sony Vegas to edit my super-8 project was because 5.1 is so tightly integrated into the program that you really don't have to farm the material out to any outside program and it basically supports everything you need - panning, encoding, VST effects, pretty much the whole ...

Well Barrel's website is at http://www.barrel-entertainment.com/ but since they're going through Ryko distribution hopefully the disc will show up at major retail stores like Best Buy. They do have a link to buy it at Amazon though on their website.flatwood wrote:Do you have a link to purchase?

I'm actually working on finishing such a project right now which was originally to be shot entirely in K40 but ended up with extensive sequences shot in minidv simply because I felt I could do more in night exteriors and some darker interiors with video. I posted an early trailer for it here some ti...

I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but Anchor Bay just released a remastered version of Dead Next Door. On the official DND website (I've forgotten the URL) director J.R. Bookwalter goes into some very interesting details about what it took to reconstitute all the film elements and give them...

Thanks guys, I'm actually still shooting pieces of it during the next two weeks but hopefully after that I can start editing as well as transfer the last small batch of super-8 I have left to telecine. I recorded all the music myself using a bunch of vintage synthesizer virtual intruments; the only ...

Wow, I just rewatched the commentary for 5 Dead on a Crimson Canvas and they did indeed shoot on super-8, E160 for the interiors and K40 for a few of the outdoor scenes. From my limited experience on my Frankenstein film I found K40 to be a problem to properly light when used in interiors given the ...

Chris, you can check out an mpeg-1 version of my trailer at http://www.pulsingcinema.com/JRHFilms/fbnteaser2.mpg . I really didn't notice an incredible amount of jitter in any of my material but I guess given my subject matter I wasnt looking for a completely stabilized, DVNR, wetgate transfer look....
