Just a note, the video version of film grain is not gain , it's noise . Gain is a way of electronically pushing up the picture's brightness without manipulating aperture, thus it only emphasizes video's native noise since it's not using physico-optical means. And as for S8 and grain...what grain wit...

It is plain E6 processing (or not) and might just as well go to Andec or others. And faster...
Frank said neither he nor Andec can do R25N, they only send it to Japan.

Procedure for Single8?

Got back from my forum meeting in Berlin where I shot some K40, 64T, 100D, and R25N. I'd also planned to test some Velvia50D, however neither GK Film, nor Wittner, nor Frank was able to delive in time, it's just too popular to keep up with demand for it. Now, it was incredibly hot and damp, and two ...

Nathan, in case you're talking about S8 and have three months, try DVP in Düsseldorf, Germany. 50 cents up to 1 Euro per footage minute for a boadcasting-quality result depending upon your destination medium, full color, contrast, and density control included. Plus 1% discount per reel you'll sen...

LC, I'm very sorry. I didn't use a watch when I timed my shots and I felt like running out of my 30 seconds pretty fast. We'll see who to blame when it'll be back from processing.

As for compact and convenient for vacation shooting, it's very hard to beat the Agfa Microflex series. It might be easy to slip off the shooting button, and it can't cope well with too bright and too dark scenes leaving only a thin area where it'll give great results, but that's nothing to bother yo...

Which reminds me of yet another story: a colleague of mine here at Blue took home some Super 8 cartoons to show his two sons, aged about 6 & 10 at the time. We had bought the reel off a regular customer of ours earlier that day - it was a load of stuff spiced together onto a 600" reel. He ...

I've tested about 20-30 films outdating decades ago (up to thirty years), and none has ever lost any of its ASA sensitivity, only color tints and increased grain. In case you're talking about K40, depending on each particular cart's storing conditions it starts with magenta tinting in the blacks and...

Good luck with your perception of society. Don't cry when the new railway terminal in Berlin gets bommed. During Schröder's chancellorship, Osama offered an official peace treaty with Germany because Schröder was opposing the Iraq war. No idea how Das Merkel is gonna handle these issues. And ...

On their website, GK Film state that the customer demand for Velvia50D is so high that each order takes 14 days. Frank has run out of his avalaible units as well.
