Re: Niagara Custom Lab (Toronto)-no reversal processing anymore?
They were all white reels, white leader, with an elastic holding the slack in or a small piece of tape, sealed in a high quality zip-lock baggy folded up nicely into the original film cartridge box that I sent it to them in. This is exactly how Exclusive returns back processed reels, minus the orig...

Re: Niagara Custom Lab (Toronto)-no reversal processing anymore?
I've never seen reversal processing in the NCL price list.
In fact I even have here an old printed NCL price list from 2003.
All I can think is that it was out-sourced.
How was the reel packaged?

Re: Niagara Custom Lab (Toronto)-no reversal processing anymore?
NCL never did process reversal. Only negative or cross processing of reversal film. Exclusive Film & Video in Toronto process reversal films only. http://www.exclusivefilm.net/ There is also the Black & White Film Factory in Toronto, but hence the name I think they only handle B&W. You c...

Redscale motion picture?
Been starting to experiment with redscale in 35mm stills. The range I've seen depending on the film type varies from yellow to extreme red. Anyone ever try this with movie film. Obviously not super 8 unless you use a reloadable cart. I was thinking of trying this out on 16mm. Any neg movie film work...

Re: Blasphemy! Question about cheap HD Cameras
I was going to pick one of these Aiptek's a while ago. Then I saw some example footage of its "rolling shutter". Ouch. looked like viewing footage through a bowl of jello.

Re: Please Help Me Understand!
http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Super_8_EKTACHROME_64T_motion_picture_film_exposed_in_old_cameras Looks like you have more control over exposure with the Eumig. So it might be possible with it. http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Eumig_128_XL As for the Canon, most likely not, as it looks like it's auto...

Re: Best camera for long exposure time lapse?
I'm sure everyone will say the Nizo. Is that the only camera that can do a long exposure? Which model should I look into? Lastly, can it shoot the negative stocks? Thanks! -seth I had 2 bauer's with this feature crap out on me, as well as 2 Eumig's. From my experiences with long exposure, I really ...

Re: strobing
If you like strobing, pick a small sector-- like 75 degrees. I picked up a Bolex H16 with a shutter modified to 75 degrees. Shot a short war flick spoof with it. Even at 1/115 (24X360/ 75 ), I didn't find it all that impressive. Was going for the band of bros kinda look. In order to get that, one n...

Canon 310XL and Nizo UWL type I
I going on a canoe trip in a couple of days, and I'm bringing along my Canon 310XL mainly because of size. Question is, has anyone tried using the Nizo UWL type I with the 310XL via a 43mm to 49mm stepping ring? With the camera in macro and lens set to infinity it looked OK through the eyepiece, but...

Re: new to super 8, please help!!!
What's that rule of thumb with depth of field? The larger the aperture (smaller f stop), the shallower depth of field, right? Always tricky since you can't tell on film cameras really. The smaller the aperture(large f/#) the greater the depth of field. It's also important to remember that depth of ...

Re: Camera repair in Toronto
I had pretty bad experiences with Kominek in the past. They fucked up my Bauer A512. Also quite expensive. Jusetan recommended Danil to me. He fixed a prism alignment issue I had with my 814 XL-S. Nice guy. Very reasonable. He even gave me an old Bauer super 8 camera he had kicking around. He doesn'...

I sent the cart to romeojesus in Germany back in May.etimh wrote: I sent romeojesus a PM about our cart--s/he has had it since May 08. Not that long in the big scheme of things, but just thought I'd give him a reminder. BTW, where is romeo located? Anybody know?

Re: Meter batteries and Nizo case
The Nizo Professional doesn't require any additional batteries for the light meter. Everything is powered by the batteries in the handle, even if folded back.
