batteries??

single 9v batteries are no good for s8 cams. That's why there's no single s8 cam out there that use them. Use 6x AAs instead. What model camera is it? Be careful you're not sending 9v direct to the auto iris meter as anything over 1.2-5 volts will destroy it. Some cams separate and distribute power ...

dvd infinity

They go on and on about how special their machine is but won't say what it is or how it works. Some years ago a very, very reliable source from this forum informed me that DVD Infinity had in fact bought workprinter[s] as I was looking for someone in oz who had these machines so I could have a test...

ACCORDING TO THE MANUAL: The oscillating green signal flag (TOP RIGHT) indicates that the film is advancing correctly (film transport signal). The yellow signal (BOTTOM LEFT) lights up to show that you're in the PMA range. In this position film only with the PMA lens in position. The red warning lig...

Yup, and I am SOOO tired of seeing pixel blocks on the dark scenes on anything on TV cinema is worse still. Saw Rescue Dawn at my local cinema (which is thriving BTW) in digital projection (2k or 4k I'm not sure?) and it was like watching a movie on a blotchy LCD screen (highlights especially). Sur...

Has anyone tried something similar? What were your results like? Place your strip of film on a light box and simply use (I use a sony cyber shot) a digital camera set on macro mode. Results are beautiful. I also use a wide angle lens but it's not necessary really. But you must be in macro mode thou...

will these batteries be okay for use in it? yes Richard but even better still buy Eneloop Nimh batts... they hold charge for up to a year just sitting on the shelf minding their own business. Handy for those days when you see the perfect shot but then oh... if only my batteries were charged, damn i...

So we all drive up to Noosa and use their's instead. This count...

Just curious if anyone might be able to recommend a decent quality, relatively inexpensive variety of S8 projector that's relatively inexpensive and readily available on eBay.
well, relatively speaking, anything by Bauer (T502 and above) or Elmo (ST1200) rock.
