Beaulieu Nightmare! Please Help!

The worst possible thing happened today. I was loosening my tripod, lost grip and the my Beaulieu 6008s toppled over landing on it's lens. I test the motor and all functions and everything seemed fine but then I looked through diopter and it looks really fuzzy like portions of the viewing area have ...

Super 8 Silencer?

For those who do live sound with Super 8, how do you eliminate that motor noise from the camera? It's quite noisy in an enclosed room. I've been using a hoody sweatshirt but it's not doing the job and I need to constantly remove it for focal/exposure changes. I know there's foam that is made to abso...

Re: Beaulieu 6008S and Film Usage Monitor

Wow, I'm not surprised I missed that. There seems to be an excessive amount of dirt on the diopter. I had to view it over a lamp to see the numbers.

Re: Dangers of Digital Technology

Yes, I've found that the best to archive is: Primary: Original motion picture negatives or reversal prints Secondary: Telecined footage on HDD or SSD. Tertiary: Backed up on Blu-Ray You can get BD burners for less than $200 now and they even do DL. The latter two archive mediums are always going to ...

Beaulieu 6008S and Film Usage Monitor

So, I've known ever since I've owned this camera that it doesn't seem to have any indicator for how much footage is used on a roll. All it has is a digital frame counter that resets every time you release the trigger. If there a way to switch this frame counter to a Film Usage Monitor? Or do I just ...

Reduce Paper Usage on Set

Hey, So is anyone else trying to figure out ways to reduce paper consumption on the set? I had an Amazon Kindle for a little while, I picked it up cheap but I really didn't get much use out of it. I have text books for school, most of which are not available in ebook form, and the only other documen...

Preferred Audio Recording Device

So I know this is a topic that has been run in to the ground but times change and so does technology. Has anyone here moved on to a completely hard drive based recording device for live sound recording? I've always toyed with the idea of using Minidisc and I've heard that to be a preferred format fo...

GE DW-68 Meter

Hi, I'm going to try out a light meter for the first time, just because I've never done so before. Im a little confused as to how I use it. I understand that it measures in footcandles and I understand how to set the ASA. I also understand the difference between reflective and incident light. But: 1...

P.S. if you write to them or leave them a comment on MySpace etc. it'd be awesome if you could let them know you heard their music on my trailer. They'd be pleased :)

First thoughts on watching this: 1...who are the band and where can I find their music? 2...whats with the bird squawk routine...thats going nowhere, unless of course, it is indicative of the rest of the film content..which takes me back to 1...who are the band and where can I find their music.... ...

Thank you for the tip. I'll correct the negative stock clips and two of the 64T clips. I think the ones I've pinpointed are what's throwing it off. I appreciate the input and repost. Let me know what you think, once the change has been made.
