Thank-you for the answer Charlie, could you precise if you have used these mailers for rolls or for cartridges ?
If it was for rolls, how were they packaged ?

Re: kahl film no longer selling to consumers?

May I just fully agree with MIKI-814 ? The fact is that WITTNER costs for shipping are more then twice those of another German retailer (FFR Films) for the same goods weight same value same delivery place . I have been ordering to WITTNER since 2003,some year several times by year. A few years ago t...

Using prepaid mailers for 15m rolls

I would like to know if some board members have already used super 8 prepaid processing mailers (like Wittner's ones),
in order to send for processing 15m rolls exposed in reloadable cartridge ?

Re: S8 100D at 10.88 Euro (ex tax)

This is why dealing with smaller companies usually offers more flexibility and understanding. Great there are these supplies indeed but you will find that many Wittner is quite disliked among many super8 professionals (in Europe anyway), who find them pretty ruthless in my experience. From now on, ...

Re: Wittner Fuji 64T in Super 8 carts - Just ordered!

I have used this F64T film in tne past when Wittner was selling it as "meterware". I used to load reloadable carts. It was far cheaper that the current cartriddge which price is definitly abusive. The results were great, and sharper then the 50D.But ,IMO, this stock must only be used for a...

Re: Ektachrome, soundsripe and Weberling

Hello ! I use to edit film in the traditional way , as I prefer show them on the "big screen". I have a Juwell machine for sound striping . It does not work perfectly , so I process by short steps (no more then 30 meters ie 100 ft in the same batch). A few years ago I made my first film wi...

Re: Ektachrome 100D Sample

I insist: for general purpose, the best reversal stock out there is Fuji 64T, but it's not available in super-8 cartridges, just single-8. Still dreaming with a Wittner or Spectra release... I agree to this point , I just add that I use to load empty super8 carts sold by Wittner with F 64 T. Taking...

Re: Reloadable film cartridge

During the last 3 years I ' ve bought 14 reloadable carts from Wittner with wich I 've shot 35 rolls of 15 m. The material used was Wittner 100 D , Wittner V 50 D and Wittner F64T. I got great troubles 3 times. ( Footage unusuable). I got unsteadines 2 or 3 times , but not all along the roll. One ca...

Re: Velvia from Wittner runs smoothly!

I ' ve shot some 16 rolls of wittner V50D and wittner F64T with a Nizo 6056 and a Canon 814 .
All were very steady .
Note that I bought 15m rolls that I load myself in empty carts .
I 've bought these carts from Wittner too.
Until today , I 've used some these carts four times .

Re: Kodachrome 40 and Velvia 50 in Super8!!

It 's sure that Wittner 50D is far expensivier in cart than Kodak 64T. In order to pay a little bit less , I ' ve bought some 15 meters roll of Wittner 50D and some empty carts. After some difficulties to load and download the film in absolute darkness, I succeed in using the carts , at least , 4 ti...

Re: Kodachrome 40 and Velvia 50 in Super8!!

Hello, Since the end of Kodachrome , I ' ve shot some ten carts of each following reversible stocks: - Kodak Ekta 64T - Wittner 100D (Kodak Ekta 100D) - Wittner V50D (Fuji 50D) - Wittner F64T (Fuji 64T). The two kodak are grainier than the two Fuji. I like a lot the colors of the 100 D , they are , ...

Hello and wellcome. I 've shot 4 rolls of Wittner F64T last summer, and about 20 carts of Kodak E64T since it is available. Here is my opinion : -> Grain : the Wittner F64T is far less grainy, it looks as "grainless" as K40 did. -> Sharpness : Better with F64T. -> Colors : The F64T looks m...
