Where to find ACL jaeger connectors

I just got my (early-ish French) Éclair ACL, and am wondering where I might be able to find a male Jaeger power connector (I believe it's a jaeger 530800)?

It came with a heavy duty cable that I want to keep intact. I am looking for a connector to create a short cable for on-board batteries.

Re: Are D-mount lenses too small for super 8?

I don't have any reflex Beaulieu double 8 camera, I read about it's d-mount and flange focus on some forum. Maybe I mixed it with other cameras... So, I should buy a Beaulieu and try my Bolex lens on it:)) Any D-mount Bolex lens should work with the Beaulieu cameras (only with the dbl-8mm models, t...

Re: Are D-mount lenses too small for super 8?

Beaulieu's Dbl-8mm reflex cameras used standard D-mount lenses. I had a Beaulieu MR8 and put a Switar 13mm f0.9 D-mount lens on it and it worked beautifully. Unfortunately the lens didn't work at all on my Beaulieu 5008s. you would probably have to design your own Super-8 camera to fit a D-mount len...

Eclair16 info site down?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if the Eclair ACL info site is down for everyone (I get a "403 forbidden" error message): http://eclair16.com/ I'm trying to buy an ACL and want as much info as I can get... and now I'm kicking myself for not printing off much of the info when the site was...

Re: New Kodak Super 8 Camera Preview

He might have a line on one for sale too. He's worked on my Scoopics too. Anyone with a K3 should have their mirrors polished with his laserbrighten process. Makes it much more bright. Oh yeah, Bernie is my go to guy for any camera tech (also because he's the only guy doing this work that I can aff...

Re: New Kodak Super 8 Camera Preview

Good to know. I have a complete set of Switars and a Monital 8-26 c-mount zoom lens that seems perfect for this camera. Is it true that it has a widened gate for 16:9 shooting? The camera should be Max-8mm, which is widened (much like Super-16mm) to a 1.58:1 aspect ratio... so not quite as wide as ...

Re: New Kodak Super 8 Camera Preview

Let's hope it is a regular standard C-mount with 17.526mm flange focal distance. oh, it undoubtedly will be a standard C-mount. creating a new form of C-mount lens would mean that only the two lenses they sell with the camera could be implemented, and their goal is to create a versatile unit. Their...

Re: A few new experimental films

thanks! I shot it on Kodak Double-X Negative (did 9 takes on a single, 12 year old, 400ft roll). It's also my first time operating a steadicam, so it's not quite as smooth as Tarr's would be... but maybe someday I'll get there

and another new one, misfire: https://youtu.be/GREU15t5aGQ this one with actual actors (well, one at least), shot Super 16mm on Double-X Negative with an Aaton XTRprod and a glidecam (steadicam knockoff). It was originally a part of an 'exquisite corpse' project, and was shot on old film from my fri...

Re: No news from Ferrania is not good.

I work at a film school that still sells Super 8 and 16mm (daylight spools) filmstock, and we get a pretty good education discount which allows us to sell it right near Kodak direct prices.

Re: Chinon 722 cartridge type?

from looking up online, the filmspeeds are as follows: For Daylight filmstocks: 25 and 100 (50D would either be overexposed or underexposed by one stop, which would still yield a usable image, or you could push or pull process by one stop with the lab) For Tungsten filmstocks: 40 and 160 (Which mean...

a new part of the "water cycle", Panspermia is "out" (haha, the idea of a release date is so absurd with a youtube vid): https://youtu.be/OfkKWdajnDM the first half shot with a Beaulieu Reflex Control (16mm), the second half with a Beaulieu 5008s Multispeed (in some shots fitted ...

Re: Kodak awakens, new S8 camera announced at CES '16

All of those C-mount non reflex Kerns should work fine, but they've all quadrupled in price in the last few years. you might check ebay... in the last year, or so, I purchased three Switar AR lenses (f1.6 10mm, f1.8 16mm, f1.5 25mm) for $100-120 each. they did all require a CLA, but even at an addi...
