Agfa movexoom 10 battery missing

Hello,

Does anyone know this camera, the AGFA movexoom 10?

I've a problem with it, i bought it very cheap on ebay, but it doesn't have the battery compartment on the cable,

Does anyone have a machine like this one? i would like to see what the battery compartment looks like, since mine has nothing inside the cable, and if i would insert the batteries inside, they would get loose, i need to build a compartment for it, but i would like to see the original

can anyone help me?

The batteries in the handle go in a special case that you lock in.
I seem to remember they were placed some thing like this.

I have, and love, that camera. It's now my primary Super 8. The only drawback is that it won't meter most films -- not a problem for me because I prefer to use a handheld meter.

I'll stick a picture of the battery case up tonight, but it is not a simple unit. The angled design, with lock, precludes simply substituting a cheapy battery clip.

However, there are two very handy battery contacts that are visible when you fold the grip over. I have often thought that it would be a simple job to wire in a connector for an external battery pack using those contacts.

I have also contemplated using an external battery pack and removing the handle, and adding a tripod plate on the bottom. Credit for inspiration goes to Mitch, who has done the same thing to one of his cameras.

Agreed,
I never understood why they placed the tripodmount on the handle, and didnt make it more like a Nizo 800 or something, where you flip away the handle and there is a tripodmount on the bottomplate.

I PM'd you, fritzcarraldo, twice about the battery case. I have had one in my drawer for years, and am happy to send it to you. No charge (ie FREE), just hoping to have it serve a more useful purpose elsewhere. Either let me know soon, or anyone else can have it, or the landfill will.
