Reflecta Film Scanner

Post by markbaldry » Mon Aug 07, 2017 1:05 am

Thinking of buying a film scanner and wondered what people's thoughts are on the Reflecta 66040 scanners?

It does super 8 and double 8 at 1080p apparently.

Or is there something better for around €500?

Never seen or tried one, but here is a link to their website. Seems they have 2 models:

It's a re-branded Wolverine. It is being discussed in great detail over at the 8mm forum:

I thought I heard Reflecta before but got confused when I saw the pic in the link OP posted. Then Andreas mentioned they made two and it all made sense!

This was what I remembered https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... anner.html

If you really have a lot of film, I would pick up a Moviestuff Retroscan Universal even on a credit card, then transfer your film and sell it for $500 less than you bought it for.
