Bill Mousoulis - S8mm filmmaker

Post by Nick » Sat Oct 29, 2005 11:51 pm

I found this site surfing around the net.

He created a large body of super 8 films, shifted to 16mm, but seems to be drifting to video. He is also the founding member of the Sences of Cinema site.

He also started the very successful Melbourne Super8 film group in the ealy eighties which lasted until a couple of years ago. In its time one of the most successful art groups of any sort in Aus. Now it has morphed into 'Moving Image Coalition' - multi-format and languishing in attendance at the moment. It may come good. I feel it left super8 exclusivity too soon! I am considering re-starting the Melb super 8 group ... thats by the by.
Bill is an inspiration in his tireless commitment and prolific output. But digital has got him ... He made several super8 features (all single system) some years ago. Quite consistent in vision, though not everyones cup of tea.
