Michael

I take it you recorded the sound on a video camera. Did you use a crystal motor on a Bolex H-8 or did you adjust the transferred footage to keep in sync with the sound? I have long felt that with better film stocks available, that 8mm film could be used very effectively to create documentaries. People look so much better on film than video to my eye.

Sync occurred in FCPX. Not too difficult to do. I have a crystal sync motor for the Bolex cameras but a cla is needed to actually get them to hold sync. The new 50D neg R8 film would make for nice docs I agree.
