Re: Kodachrome K40 chemistry question

Ferrania can barely manage the black and white film they are selling let alone a complicated color process. In the "day" there were a number of color films using processes similar to Kodachrome. Seems like every country in the East had some film that was unique to that country. Maybe someone can dig...

Re: Wittner Cinetec

Wittner is still in business. They moved from the Hamburg area to So. Germany and must reorganize the shop and equipment. Apparently this is a bigger job than they realized. Remember when you are dealing with film you require a light tight dark area to do the work plus there are equipment issues whe...

Re: Kodak Super8 revival - Media coverage

Definitely not Kodachrome. Not up to Ektachrome 100D standard either. Maybe more like VNF 7240?

Re: Regular 8mm Black & White Print

Dennis, Over a year ago you were sold out of TRI-X 8mm. Have you restocked? I see it is listed on your web site and order form for $45.

Re: Regular 8mm Black & White Print

Do you plan to sell in the future or will it remain safely in the freezer? Do you plan to respool to usable spool lengths or leave on large spool and sell in bulk?

Re: Fomapan DS8mm 100ft rolls USA

Actually i was the first importer of Fomapan 8mm in the USA in the 90's and early 2000's. I used to go to SF airport and pick it up by the pallet load. After 911 things got complicated and had to go through a lot of paperwork and driving between airport and customs in SF. I guess I wasn't big enough...

Re: Who's Left Shooting 16mm?

Three people have requested the 16mm camera. So, please no more. Well now I have to play Solomon and decide who gets the camera. I could divide into three pieces and send one piece to each person.---John S.

Re: Regular 8mm Black & White Print

I have found KAHL difficult to work with. I ordered $2500 worth film three months ago and still don't have it. He is good at coming up with excuses why the film has not been shipped. He actually gave a phoney tracking number one time. Also you better know German. He does not like small orders and do...

Re: Who's Left Shooting 16mm?

The Kodak announcement regarding the new Ektachrome makes no mention of 16mm. Only Super 8 and 35mm are listed as being released in Ektachrome in all the literature I have seen. I have a Beaulieu 16mm camera i will never use. It uses a rechargeable battery in the camera grip. I recharged the battery...

Eumig Viennette 5

Has anyone had experience with the Eumig Viennette 5 or equivalent. My question is does this camera automatically push the daylight(orange) filter out of the lens path when using a daylight balanced film in a cartridge designed to push the filter out. The filter is normally pushed out when using a l...

Re: Old Ektachrome 160 A film, 2 with sound >>

Ironic that the lesser stock,i.e.Ektachrome can still be processed with passable results but king Kodachrome is basically worthless. Too bad they didn't make black and white sound film. It could survive the nuclear holocaust Anyway I think that is ironic. --JS.

Re: I Made My Own "New" Super 8 Camera >>>

P.S. If your recorder does not have an separate input and the recorder is strapped to the camera, the recorder will pick up the camera motor sound starting and stopping and you can use that sound to sync your picture to the sound.
