Re: 8mm Telecine using condenser lens

I have one such unit that I bought from a member of this forum a few years back. It works well and was thoroughly tested by the guy. PM me if interested i don't need it because I have a Sniper Pro HD now, which obviously is miles away in terms of engineering and results. You could also look into a W...

Cleaning sound films without any damage

Hi When I clean films (using Wittner's super8 film cleaning product - or even with a white cotton cloth and no product), I have noticed that the magnetic sound track is leaving brown marks on the cloth. Does this in any way damage the sound track? Super8 sound track originally not being great, I wou...

If processed as black and white though, the vivid reds of the blood wouldn't really show. That would be a pity

Re: re calibrating the light meter, agfa microflex 300

Hi
Would you be able to share some info on how to access the pot inside the camera, how to open it up etc?
That would be great, as I'm looking to modify mine but don't have a clue how to get at it.
Thanks

Re: Ektachrome 100D in Zenit Quarz cameras

How about use in tungsten light?
100D is 25 asa in daylight, so should you set the aperture -/+ dial to +1?
Should an 80a filter be used?

-2 = 200 ISO
-1 = 100 ISO
0 = 50 ISO
+1 = 25 ISO
+2 = 12 ISO

sorry. 5 minutes is 5 minutes in this case, otherwise it's not fair on other contestants. Thanks for your understanding.
Maybe you can cut it down to 5 minutes?

Re: 16mm Projector Question - US to UK power

As far as I know, you may also be running into speed issues, where in order to obtain 18fps or 24fps, you would have to modify some parts within the projectors. A US projector repair person told me this a few years back. I never verified it but it does make sense.

Re: What 'bad' photography advice have you heard?

The owner of a local camera shop who advised, completely self-assured and with a tinge of arrogance, to put a filter in front of your lens (for any camera) to solve the 64T issue. Nice one dude

If you cross process Tri-X as a negative, why would you need an extra stop?
