Re: Experience wtih youtubes monetization programme?

I got the email from them a few weeks ago. My guess is it sends it out automatically when your video reaches about 900 views since my video was just over 900 when I got the email. I went ahead and followed the instructions and set it to "monetize" but I doubt I'll ever see a dime since my video is n...

http://www.filmshooting.com/scripts/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22131&start=30 Here is a link to a discussion about home processing. I used the B&H for this short film and processed at home to a neg. Crappy video transfer but you get the idea. The camera had been in a closet for 30 years so I gave it ...

Re: S1 question

Thanks for the response. I've looked at it further and determined that it does not need the battery to work in manual. I had to get some light into the front of the lens just right and I could see it adjusting. Seems it just doesn't really get as small as I thought it would.

S1 question

I have a Bolex S1 which takes the odd (mercury)batteries in the back of the handle for the auto exposure. My question isn't so much which batteries it can use but can it be used without batteries on MANUAL. The reason I ask is because looking through the lens with the film gate allowing light throug...

That's the one. LOL sorry "Video USA" was just the rest of Yale Film and Video. I included USA in case you needed to know where they were.

Re: How can I get tire goo off a film?

My concern is anything that will be effective will remove the film emulsion. Lighter fluid or WD-40 will take the goo off but I would test it on an unimportant piece of film to see it's effect on the emulsion. Good luck.

Re: Kodak

19,000 employees seems a bit steep as well. Seems it should be half that. I do wonder how their film production operates. Is the need for film enough that they make it each day of the week or is it produced in large batches and then production halted? If that's the case what do those employees do un...

I did not read all the replies so somebody may have pointed this out already but I just bought 2 from Kodaks site. You might read it again as it says a "maximum of 20" and not "minimum". :D

Re: Bolex Bevel Edge Cement Splicer Tips?

I might be wrong because it's been 1982 or so since I have glued film splices but I thought you scraped off the emulsion only then applied the glue. No scraping of the base but like I said I'm not positive. Surely somebody here will know.

Re: Nizo S8 Compact iPhone App

app is also a way to make money from software again as apps must often be installed from proprietary stores which enforce payment when required. The classic selling of software was seriously sabotaged by download and cracking being available free from Internet sites. Also these stores can facilitat...
