Re: Reloading single-8 carts with super-8

You should be able to load Agfa Aviphot 200D with out much trouble. This a thin ester base film similar to the film FUJI loads into single 8 cartridges. The 200D is very thin and should easily load 50 ft into cart.

Re: No news from Ferrania is not good.

It would be good to have someone from Ferrania as a contributor to this forum. Perhaps that would keep rumours and speculation to a minimum. J.S.

Re: Pro8 Fuji S8

It is my understanding that this product is perforated, slit and packaged as a Pro 8 product with processing by Pro8 included. Tak gave/sold/traded to PRO8 35mm film to be slit and perforated and loaded to S8 cartridges. Therefore FUJI is not involved in the processing and the film must be returned t...

Pro8 Fuji S8

Has anyone bought or tried the Fuji S8 from Pro8? I called Pro8 and asked about the film and was told it is experimental and not part of their product line. The price is $75 with processing.

Re: No news from Ferrania is not good.

A lot of discussion about what film Ferrania should produce but does anyone know what film they will actually produce? My impression from early posts was that they will produce a version of Scotchchrome 100. I contributed to the fund raiser expecting to receive "gifts" of S8 and 16mm film. I go to m...

I have a bottle of film stripping cement that I will not use. If you want it, I will send it to you but I believe it must be shipped ground. -----

Re: 400ft film cans

Yes, two(2) 400ft super 8 reels should fit nicely. Most have the black plastic bag still in them.----

Re: 400ft film cans

The cans are for 16mm film. Actually regular 8mm 400ft spools. No cost to ship in USA. International probably about $10.----John S.

400ft film cans

I have a large quantity of empty 400ft film cans with Kodachrome labels, Ektachrome (blue label) and Plus-x (purple label). Anyone who would like to have some let me know. They are great decoration and make a handy place to store small objects.

Fuji Provia at Pro8

Check PRO 8 website. Apparently PRO 8 has cut a deal with Retro8 to obtain FUJI Provia.

Re: No news from Ferrania is not good.

In the USA color reversal is available from Spectra Film and Video, Pro 8mm and Dwayne's Photo. No need to wait for Ferrania.

Re: No news from Ferrania is not good.

I believe both Kahl and Wittner have color film available. Also there is Kodak Vision 3 for transfer which more and more filmers seem to be using.

Re: Regular 8mm Film - Tri-x Sold Out

I actually had a spool that he perforated. The film ran through the camera and projector but the registration was horrible. The frames jumped all over the place. If I were more organized, I could find the spool but it would take too much searching to find the spool. I remember he was associated with...

Re: No news from Ferrania is not good.

Dennis bought a large amount of film that required little finishing and no packaging and from what I could see got no discount. Kodak is not into dealer discounts unless you are a student, of course.

Re: Regular 8mm Film - Tri-x Sold Out

Perforators are precision instruments. The perforators that exist today are refurbished from older perforators. I think Nowill in UK paid about $11,000 to retool his perforator. I had the impression that Wittner paid around $30,000 to rebuild his perforator. KAHL got his perforator from ORWO. Buildi...
