Re: soon: Ektachrome 100 D by Kodak from Kodak in Super-8

All you have to do is screw a blue filter (80A) in the lens if yours is a TTL camera. It's the 80A filter itself who will reduce incoming light by 2 stops, thus converting the whole thing from 100 to 25 ASA... but the film inside will always remain the same ISO. Thanks for your reply Could you clar...

Re: soon: Ektachrome 100 D by Kodak from Kodak in Super-8

I suppose you could change the cartridge's notch so that it meters at 40 asa for instance, which would be closer to 20 already. What do you reckon?

Re: soon: Ektachrome 100 D by Kodak from Kodak in Super-8

Wow. That's a lot of news. God I loved plus-X. Damn, that's a real pity. How about Ektachrome 100D indoors then? It is going to be really awkward and hard for people to understand how to use. If Ekta 100D is only 20asa indoors, how are you supposed to have enough light in the first place, even with ...

Re: Is buying these Fresnels, Kinos and Red Heads a bad idea??

Chances are, because those lights come from an Asian country, that they may not pass EU standards, meaning there is a high chance they would be stopped and sent back by customs. It happened to a someone I know, who wasn't able to get their money back on top of it so they lost an absolute fortune ove...

Quick question: Must the drying absolutely take place in a dark room or can you switch on the light?

Re: tripod

Try http://www.foto-walser.biz/shop/ I've been buying stuff off them for years and the quality of their higher end tripods is really good yet way cheaper than manfrotto and co. Something like this: http://www.foto-walser.biz/shop/Artikel/2656/76/Carbon_Pro_walimex_pro_FT_6662BT_Carbon_Pro_Tripod_140...

Re: Plus-X & 100D in 25/40/100/160 cams

Thanks What do you mean by this? With others however, notably nizo cameras, the filter switch will still have an effect on the asa even though the filter itself has already been switched out Which Nizos? The 801 / 6080 range (that would actually have 100asa pins there) or the compact/integral range?...

Plus-X & 100D in 25/40/100/160 cams

Hi
How are you supposed to set the daylight filter in a 25/40/100/160 camera when shooting those daylight stocks?
If you disengage the daylight filter, will it autoexpose at 160asa?
So you would need to set the filter to daylight, so that the cart can push in the camera's pin. Is that correct?
Thanks

Re: Good inexpensive telecine service.

If you want decent results on a consistent basis without your films being damaged, that's what you'll have to pay otherwise the company must be taking shortcuts that will be detrimental to you one way or another.
Remember, you always get what you pay for.

How risky is it to put a camera is a case (soft or hard) that previously contained a camera with fungus on its lens?
Thanks

Re: lens fungus end of the world?

How about camera cases containing lenses with fungus (hard cases and soft leather type bags). Does fungus stay in them, and if so how long and how can you make sure they're safe.
