Thanks due to Kodak for introducing e6 super8 film stock!

I just wanted to add after all that has been said about the loss of k40 and the merits of 64t, that I am really thrilled at being able to home process the new colour stock! Its like a kind of magic when you take the lid off the tank and there is a colour film in there!. So thanks Kodak for introduci...

site with details of gs1200/video camera synch details?

Some time ago I found a site somewhere (!) of a company that was selling a card that made it possible to synchronise an elmo gs1200 projector with a video camera for telecine. They also sold 'soft' lamps that would eliminate 'hot spots'. The camera pointed at the projector gate directly if I am not ...

As for price, it may be cheaper to get K40 Ds8 from John Schwind in California than in Europe. You say Foma is cheap. He was selling it at $15 for 100' but because of the processing issues he will not be getting any more. There is a company in the USA called 'Chambless' that also advertise it for $1...

Wittner will be selling Velvia 50D Reversal in the near future - not yet. Perhaps about april. The Kahl 24 is ORWO UN54. Wittner also sell this stock in DS8. It can be processed as neg with a gamma of about .6 or as reversal with a gamma of 1.1. (according to the ORWO information site). I have used ...

Bolex cameras have exposed drive shafts onto which external motors are connected. Later model bolex camseras have two exposed drive shafts - one for connecting a continuous filming motor (say at 24fps), and the other a 1:1 drive shaft. The 1:1 shaft is for doing motorised single frame work using an ...

A major reason it is not done is that while this stock is in the Kodak catalogue, it is only there as production to order - and an order would not be small!

Hi there, I am looking at processing 64t on a semi-professional basis here in Victoria in the not too distant future. (This is the first time I have mentioned my plans publicly! - but I am not ready to go yet). I have been discussing my plans with Vanbar and with Kodak Aust. No one else has agreed t...

Some Foma DS8 in the Victorian Alps here - pixilating granite boulders. Foma, Kahl (ORWO), Tri-x and K40 as a tribute film to a small town supermarket that is changing hands (and no doubt modernising) after a very long time. Some 16mm 7399 ectachrome duplicating film - It is old stock and I am doing...

I have been contemplating buying some 16mm print stock to print super8 neg onto using a JK-printer. Slow but it would be effective I think. I would love to be able to get some print stock in DoubleSuper8 for the same purpose.

Help with Canon DS8 battery thingy!

I just purchased a Canon DS8. Aparently it has issues with the battery magazine. I have not paid for the item yet. Can anyone tell me about the battery magazine for this camera? Is it a box that is inserted into the camera or what? If it has had corrosion inside, is it a simple enough design to be c...

Pull processing of 64t to 40asa is offered by Martin Baumgarten (Platesburg Photographic Services) and I believe the 'Reversal Lab' in the Netherlands.

quite right, that's quite wrong! 64 asa film is 64asa. A 40asa light meter is 40 asa. There is no fooling! It makes no difference if you use an external or an internal colour correction filter. Remember that with 40/25 and with 64/40 colour film, the second figure in each case is only the effective ...
