Re: DS8 Pathè cameras: how many?

Thank you, sciolist, I had seen, but almost $30 for a few sheets I would not spend it. And it's printed, from Usa. I would pay, but only to have it in PDF or similar. Unfortunately have this manual only shop that selling in paper and not on digital (other manuals, instead, I found them in "digital s...

DS8 Pathè cameras: how many?

Who can tell me how many models of Pathè DS8 came out in the market?
In particular, the BTL model. I have always found only two models, but, perhaps!, it is same model with different logo (one only mentions "DS8 BTL", the other "Double Super 8 Professional SLR").
Thank you!

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

Hi Luigi ! I have often been curious about 9.5mm = the format that wouldn't die. It is incredible that there are still die hard fans that still shoot this film format today, 40 years after I first became aware of it reading Lenny Lipton's book. Here in the USA it is very, very rare to come across a...

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

Hi, David! Have you even thought for 9.5mm format? I know that users of this format are far fewer than those of Super 8, Double 8, 16mm, etc., but, currently, there is only one dealer of 9,5mm in the world , which, by the way, cut only color film in this format. A 9.5mm B/W film would be a single po...

Re: Gossen Bolex info!

No problem, Livio! I said, really, just for the problem described above (but not with this Gossen, an episode with another lighmeter): too many turns for make straigh numbers, a "click" and ring broken! But not in this case with Bolex Gossen, I thank you for the suggestion: are just outer rings, onl...

Re: Gossen Bolex info!

Livio, you were not in the mood, huh? Perhaps you have not understood the question. Or maybe you do not know that it is normal question. I have another lighmeter that, misused, with turning the ring with too much decision, have broke an internal spring, and now has the loose ring, you have to hold i...

Gossen Bolex info!

I recently bought a new Gossen Bolex lightmeter, because my old is irredeemably broken. It works well with classic method of zync-air battery, instead of old PX13. Ok. Only an help: the lightmeter arrived with numbers of ASA upside down (like it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bolex-Gossen-Medidor-De-Luz-P...

Editor viewer frame adjust

I know that the Zeis Ikon Moviscop 8mm is one of the best Regular 8mm editor viewer, but I also know that it has not the frame adjustment function. It is not needed, the image is always well centered on this machine? Or have other ways for centering? I not have this machine, but I could have it and ...

Re: Horizontal flashes on film

You can post some screens? Perhaps after an amateur telecine I've seen, in my shots, similar things with Orwo UN54, but only in 16mm, using a Krasnogorsk 3. In my case, the fact is attributable, according to many, just at light leak in the camera. In your case It could be the development, sometimes ...

Re: Hand crank for Fujica ZC 1000

Gabe, you don't need the hand crack to rewind with the Fujica ZC1000. This is the unique model with an external hand crack, but it's conceived to run the camera like in the "silent era" or making long exposures. For rewinding, just put the motor on "R" position and the camera will run in backwards ...

Re: Conversion negative in positive

Thank you. True, after the "invert" command that make bluish tint, it's really hard to juggle with colors. I know you can use RGB Premiere or other editing software options, but not easy. However, if anyone has any tips for having a minimun result, even a little 'acceptable, without having the excel...

Re: Conversion negative in positive

I think all video editing software packages have invert as an option. Even those that do not cost anything. For video it creates a negative look but certainly works the other way. There is almost always "invert", of course, but, unfortunately, I tried with Premiere, the command "invert" only change...
