i used the 1:1,66 part of the negative cos that is what is important to me.. i'd like to shoot a feature on super8, and the duper format would get me the best quality for a 1:1,66 35mm release. have you already modified a Super8 gate? nope, i'm still reading up on the topic, trying to figure out wi...

I mean it's not actually as big as 16:...

i disagree with the common understanding that a external light meter is absolutely essential. there, i said it! it must also be said that i have two light meters myself (a spectra pro IV-A and a pentax spotmeter) - and that i'm using them a lot, specially when shooting 16mm, and sometimes even when ...

I like this: http://www.cmanz.com/super8/film-format-comparison.gif but it's not clear if the super8 is just normal super8 or Pan8/Wide8. I'm assuming the former. In fact the labelling on this diagram is a little confusing generally. It could do with a key. ok, i modified the pic above to have some...

Re: Mac .vs PC - Way off Topic...

hmm.. i never understood the Mac always crash/PC always crash thing: on win95/OS8 days, both system crashed fairly often. on win98/OS9 days, you could have a fairly solid machine when you knew what you did.. with XP/OSX these days, both systems runs rock solid (unless you really screw up, i had like...

Re: nle editing showdown-mac/pc. best visual/audio editing a

ok, i'll jump in an try to add some of my personal thoughts about the original topic: since i'm a mac guy, i'll focus on solutions available for that platform, i'm sure there are similair products on the pc side, it's just that i dont know them: for me the best solution is FCP (version 4 is very swe...
