Re: ZC1000 focus isue

thanks Silverdream, I think the prism sounds like the most likely culprit, I've seen other cameras with pull down/shutter sync problems and there tends to be vertical motion blur or strobing effects on the footage nikonr10, I'd describe the focusing on this camera as imprecise. a couple of years ag...

Re: ZC1000 focus isue

I have a ZC1000 that seems incapable of focusing accurately, no matter how much care and attention I take on setting the focus on a subject the film always comes back from the lab showing the focus always significantly behind/further away from what I was aiming at! I'm trying to figure out what mig...

Re: Eumig 8mm projector sprockets?

Hi, After a home-move I find I am with Standard 8 sprockets for my Eumig Mark S 807D projector but the Super 8 sprockets have disappeared. Up the river without a paddle. Are there interchangeable sprockets for this Eumig series please - such as the 800, 802 and 810D Eumigs? If I can't find Super8 s...

Re: Eumig 610D circuitry

Hi all, I just found a really nicely preserved Eumig 610D variable speed projector, unfortunately for me it's the European voltage model. There's a solder point where I can easily set the transformer primary between 220/230/240/250 volts but there doesn't appear to be any 110/120v taps. I was just ...

Re: R9 bleach

potassium dichromate is carcinogenic and should be handled with gloves and appropriate health and safety protection. The compound is also corrosive and exposure may produce severe eye damage or blindness.[13] Human exposure further encompasses impaired fertility, heritable genetic damage and harm to...

I'm not even going to touch this other than generally discouraging it.
Just don't severely disable or kill yourself. Wear proper PPE which includes a respirator with the proper filtration.

Re: R9 bleach

I’m using filmlabs r9 bleach recipe. I have all the necessary equipment and I already signed the safety precaution forms to buy the chemicals. Only one question: the sulphuric acid I need to buy has to be 96%, but photographers formulary only sells 48%... does that mean that I double the amount of ...

Re: Eco friendly bleach

So long story short: if I develop my 7266 16mm film in d-19, can I use an eco friendly bleach? Or is eco friendly bleach only good for caffenol based developers? (Note: The recipe is not mine) Bleach: 1L hydrogen peroxide 9% 28ml acetic acid glacial I don’t want to use the sulphuric acid/dichromate...

Re: Best method for “bucket processing”?

As Nikonr10 said, have you done classical black and white developing before? If you have experience with hand processing black and white, you know how temperamental chemistry can be. I have over twenty years experience hand developing still black and white film and I wouldn't touch a bucket process...

Re: Best method for “bucket processing”?

I just bought a bolex h16 reflex and have some 7266 film arriving. I plan on buying a Lomo tank, but in the meantime I’m losing patience and I want to shoot and develop as soon as possible. If anyone has any experience in “bucket processing” and knows the best way to get the best picture in these c...

Re: Process times for various B&W 8mm films ???

That time came from my days developing prints. The Kodak fixer package lists 5-10 minuets. Now I time how long film takes to clear and double it. I hadn't yet learned that old fixer takes longer to do the job. Thats still a long even for prints ? even if you were to go the two bath old fixer / then...

I no longer fix 10 minuets. I test a clip to see how long it takes to clear then double it. 68f/20c.
Reversal in RO9 is 1:25 at 18 min
Why would you want to fix for 10 min thats a long time for a film , or is it a weak soup ?

Re: Canon 814 super8 - Battery Corrosion - doesn't work. Repair $ cost?

I am you sure you will find a better deal on ebay ? thing is it better to go buy one from a dealer were you test & play check touch etc . Still 129$ is not cheap for hit & miss . :-? All the other ones in the $100 range that are "untested" are cosmetically banged up.. scratched.. discolouration, cr...
