Re: UN54 R8 developing tips wanted

I have processed several rolls of UN54 ds8 and reg 8 over the years in my 30-meter lomo spiral tank. Orwo's exact recipes and times are here: http://www.filmotec.de/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/V-I-VV-4185-e.pdf I simply used dektol or d-76 as developer/second developer and go 4-6 minutes on the initi...

Re: Any scanned examples of E100D pushed to 200 ASA?

Richard of Nanolab, a regular poster on this forum, has experience with pushed E100D.
I kicked around a bit on the Nano site but could not find the examples that I thought I remembered seeing there.

Looks like you pop in some single perf 16mm and crank out ds8.

Wish I had the $$. Be neat to have the vision stocks in ds8.

Re: Does anyone still develop kodachrome 40?

Loosely following Mr. Baumgarten's instructions for k-40 B&W reversal development posted on other places on the web, I was able to get these results: http://vimeo.com/20326051 http://vimeo.com/21689596 Also, I got respectable results using Mr. B's kodachrome-as-B&W negative development instructions ...

Question about Elmo 3600 Album Super 8 camera

Got my hands on a functional Elmo 3600 Album camera with the 4.6 mm super wide lens. Problem is, I don't have the manual and cannot find one on the web. Does anybody know what film speeds this thing will meter automatically? It is one of those cameras that you load the S8 cartridge in from the end. ...

Re: clip: kodachrome processed as black and white

Another try with kodachrome as black and white reversal.
Had a tripod 3 feet away and did not have the sense to put the camera on it - sorry about the shake:

Re: clip: kodachrome processed as black and white

J.S., Thanks for checking out the clip. I think nearly all the carbon came off during the processing, I just hoped people would forgive me for the bits that I did not sponge off. The first developer came out of the lomo without any discoloration, but the first rinse with water after the first develo...

Re: clip: kodachrome processed as black and white

camera8mm, Yes, I processed it at home in a lomo tank. I forgot to mention that on the vimeo link. Winbert, It is difficult to arrive at a per-cartridge cost, because I don't recall the costs for the chemicals. It probably adds up to a couple of dollars per cartridge when you consider consumables, o...

clip: kodachrome processed as black and white

sorry about the overly tight closeup. I put camera on tripod, set focus, then marched out to film myself without checking the zoom  Did not clean dirt/hair nor try to sponge off the carbon black before doing a quicky telecine on the Tobin. Mouth is jabbering because it was sound film (no sound...

Re: Kodak VP-1

From a complete non-techy: I had exact same thought when I saw a kodak 8x10 self-feeding scanner on one of the home shopping channels the other night. Pandigital also makes a popular unit. A motion picture film unit could adjust in width (perhaps an adjustable guide) for 8mm, 9.5, and 16mm film. Wha...
