Re: CES in Vegas 2017

On Kodak's website there are now some images of the new super 8 camera taken at CES 2017. But is this the cheapest version, or the pro version? http://www.kodak.com/KodakGCG/uploadedImages/Consumer/CES-2017/image-downloads/Kodak-CES-2017-booth05.jpg http://www.kodak.com/KodakGCG/uploadedImages/Consu...

Will there be a new & improved Super 8 cartridge?

I read this page:
http://motion.kodak.com/US/en/motion/pr ... efault.htm
and it says something about replacing a discontinued catalog number.

Is it only a change in catalog numbering, or has a new cartridge been made?

Nizo Pro caught for speeding

I used my Nizo Pro for the first time since 2006, and after 2 minutes of filming, this happened: https://vimeo.com/161716971 Now and then there are uncontrolled bursts of way more than the 18 fps I had set the camera to. Does anyone service Nizo's anymore? Or do you think there is something I can do...

Syncing sound to camera noise?

I am making a little movie for the Straight 8 festival, where you shoot 1 cartridge without editing afterwards, and make the soundtrack without being able to see the film. The sound for the movie will all be done in post, as a voiceover. There are no people in the film. I have a list of 25 short sce...

Which external light meter do you use/recommend?

I have previously only shot with a Nizo camera where the light meter worked. Now I want to use my Beaulieu 4008 ZM4, and I need an external light meter. Which light meter is fairly cheap and fairly easy to use with super 8 cameras? I do not need one that has all the bells and whistles for a digital ...

Re: straight 8 is open for 2016

Sounds fun! Just entered.

Haven't shot super 8 in years, so this was the push I needed :-)

Anyone else on this forum entering this?

200+ super 8 related manuals for cameras etc.

7-8 years ago I crawled the net for any super 8 related manuals I could find. I originally planned to create a magnificent website for manuals, but never got around to it (did make a lousy one, though). Most of these are probably online still, but I thought I could share the link to the manuals from...

Re: How to see what fps film was shot at?

Thanks for the advice! As this is test-footage, I won't put too much work into it. I am having it telecined though, so I guess I will just take a look at it in my editing suite and try guessing based on how things look/move in the footage. :)

How to see what fps film was shot at?

This may be an insanely stupid question, but here goes anyway:-) I have a super 8 cartridge that I shot 5 years ago using a Beaulieu ZM4. I tested at least 7-8 different film speeds, and noted the details down on an informative piece of paper. That piece of paper is now permanently misplaced. Is it ...

Re: manual nizo 136

Hi!

I don't have the manual, but check out the super8wiki for some info about this camera:
http://super8wiki.com/index.php/Nizo_136

If you need more info to be able to operate it, just ask some more specific questions in this forum, and I'm sure someone will be able to help.
