Siemens 800 Regular 8mm Projector
Can anyone tell me what bulbs are suitable for use in a Siemens 800 regular 8mm projector? The 220V 50Hz machine - Typen-Nr: Sf. P 8.1 - seems to accept lamps of 250W, 375W, and 500W, but I can't find the bulb designations. This isn't the version that'll operate on 110V 60Hz.

Re: Rewinders capacity
The bottom of the shaft is tapered, and I was concerned the edge of the reel might rub against it. A Neumade 800-foot 16mm metal reel clears the base of the rewinder, but only by a millimeter or two. I wouldn't want to have to wind 800-feet of 16mm film with the tiny crank, however. A 400-foot reel...

Re: Rewinders capacity
Neumade 16mm 800-foot metal reels I've got are 10½ inches in diameter.

Re: Rewinders capacity
The spindle is 5½ inches above the base, so an 800-foot reel will fit.

Re: Filters on H8 Macro Switar
How do you see these three lens with an adapter ring 32--->37 + filter? I do not think that it's risking of vignetting, even with the wide. I expect there would be no problem, but the only way to confirm that is to buy the adapter ring and a filter (they're not that expensive) and expose some film ...

16mm Baseplate for Hammann Film Joiner
I'd like to buy a 16mm baseplate for a Hammann film joiner. The Hammann website seems not to include contact information. Does this company still sell such spares? If it does, how can Hammann be contacted? If it doesn't, is there an alternate source for this part?

I've got one of these kits - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Varizoom-VariZo ... 2662675188. There are straps to secure the assembly to the automobile to provide protection if the suction cups fail.

Re: Projector Belts
I've used such belts and they seem to work well when properly joined. There seem to be many suppliers and belts of various cross-section are available, including V-belts (see http://durabelt.com/splicingkitsinfo.php ). I used a heat gun for melting and joining the belt material. There are fixtures a...

Re: P1 vs P3
The P3 has a power zoom that the P1 lacks. There's useful information about the P3 (and the P1) here - http://www.bolexcollector.com/cameras/p3.html. Repair services for these cameras are offered by http://bolexrepair.com/.

Re: Cinevate Battery Attachment to 15mm Rods
I've had the battery for more than a year. There'd been a seller at the time who offered a quantity of these batteries at $49.00 each, and I was fortunate to get one of them.inlieubeaulieu wrote:did you already purchase the battery? If so, I'd be happy to take it off your hands...

Re: Cinevate Battery Attachment to 15mm Rods
isn't the 4-pin XLR output 12v? (with the switchable 3.3/5/7.2v output coming from a mini-TRS(?) output) Also, with regards to using this with a Beaulieu, I'm not sure if you'll get full functionality out of the camera without rewiring the battery. The light-meter (and maybe the zoom, I don't quite...

Re: Cinevate Battery Attachment to 15mm Rods
The Cinevate battery looks like a good candidate to power some of the Bolex 16mm motors or the Tobin motors. You'd think that'd be the case given its bulk, but the battery has selectable outputs of 3.3V, 5V, and 7.2V, so I'll use it with my Beaulieu 4008 series cameras. It's overkill, for sure, but...
