Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

Are there any issues with shipping film internationally? Specifically with x-rays...I'm thinking that DHL or FedEx would be safe that way... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Most companies who make film ship it around the world every day and there doesn't seem to be a problem to speak of... We wi...

richard p. t. wrote:And is it a clear acetate base or a grey base? It's bw negative film which is usually on a grey base but they may not have grey. Clear would make it better for reversal use.
It's a grey base. You can see it pretty clearly here: http://www.filmferrania.it/news/2016/in-the-loop

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

If Film Ferrania could be persuaded to sell their BW in bulk spools 400ft/122M or larger, there are a number of ways to have the film slit and perforated by second parties to various 16mm products. Unfortunately it would add to the cost but it would give Film Ferrania exposure to the small gauge ma...

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

From the post it seems that the B&W film is a little easier to create, will it become an item for regular sale or just for the rewards? You know we'd eat it up here if it was offered in 16mm or Super 8 or Regular 8...I'd love to have some 100' 35mm loads for my Eyemo... Once we get the 35mm still f...

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

Regarding 9.5mm, DS8 and bigger spool sizes, it would be great if I could say, "Sure! Whatever you want, we can cut and perf to order!" :ymparty: In fact, it is our goal to be able to say just those words - in the long run . There are tons of things we have the potential to do... In the long run. Be...

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

I contributed to the Kickstarter campaign and was promised "gifts". I selected super 8 and 16mm. 16mm is straight forward but I am thinking about how will the super 8 "gift" be supplied; in a camera ready cartridge or on a spool that will have to be loaded by me into a cartridge? While it would be ...

We had better be on the market WAY before that! By this time next year, I expect we'll have a couple of films. At minimum I would say we'll have at least another ISO or two in our color reversal...

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

Whatever Ferrania do, it won't please everyone. Quite right. No company makes a product that pleases everyone. Such a product would be very boring, I think... We will obviously make films with their own unique character. This character is a result of our staff, our machines, our knowledge base, our...

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

Please consider this my request for N8mm! If you made a batch I would stock up on it and I'm sure there are many other members of this forum that would do the same. My stock of Ektachrome 100D is dwindling and I'm starting to panic. Do you have any arrangements with Wittner Cinetec to re-perforate ...

Re: Hello from FILM Ferrania!

Hello Dave, great to talk with you :) One somewhat unusual tehnical query I have which is probably not an easy one to test and to answer... Do you have any ideas about the longevity of your new colour film ? I really mean how long the colour dyes are expected to last (after processing). I realise t...
