Re: Super 8 microphone

It looks similar to the type of mic that came with some Super8 cameras. I hope it works for your equipment.

Re: Super 8 microphone

I’m not an electronics expert, but I think you need to use a microphone that matches the type of input on the equipment. Both machines are now quite old, and I’m sure would be designed to use mics of a fairly simple type. Have a look at the manuals for editor and projector. They should give the impe...

Re: Fujica P300... what voltage please ?

I would try the 675 type which is closer in voltage to the original. You will need to pack the compartment with rolled up tin foil to make up the extra bulk.

Re: Fujica P300... what voltage please ?

It looks like it used a mercury H-D cell which gives 1.35 V. I don’t have this camera, but have replaced these cells with the 1.4V hearing aid battery. The big one, known as 675A in the UK works well, and is cheap. Life is shorter than mercury, but longer than the two weeks I expected. Worth a try i...

Re: Super 8 camera accessories

Some cameras have a single frame function. The mechanism depends on the camera, and may need a cable or remote release to operate. The manual for your camera will tell you if it is possible. I don’t know which model you have, but if it does 1 fps, it may well also do single frame. Alex Sent from my ...

Re: Professional Standard 8 editor viewer

I have the Minette S4. It is Super8/Single8, but not Standard/Regular8. I have the catalogue. Models S1, S4 and S5 are all described as Super8. Model S5 600 can take 600ft reels. At the same time, they offered two ‘Professional ‘ models, P16 and P16 Color. The only Standard/Regular8 device was a set...

Minoltina 8 power source

Is anyone familiar with this camera? I would like to know what battery or batteries it uses. In the pictures I’ve seen, there appears to be a compartment for a small cylindrical cell top right on the body. I would not expect this to drive the film, so wonder if there are other batteries, perhaps in ...

Re: Canon Autozoom 814 electronic not working?

I had one of these and I thought it took six AA cells? Four in the handle and another two in a compartment on the body near the film door. It wasn't obvious without instructions that you needed the other two. Maybe it was a different model 814?

The 35mm version for stills is listed in the catalogue of a UK photo supplier, with a price, for delivery in November.

What have you been working on lately?

The pick-up tools I was thinking of are called Hobby Pal suction pick-up tool and Model Pal suction pick-up tool. They re made in USA. One is more expensive than the other, but the basic one looks ideal for lifting and placing lens elements. I can't see the tacky type, but the suction ones are a bet...

Re: What have you been working on lately?

So the lens is just 3 elements huh? I've got a Yvar c-mount like that. Were you able to get it back together nice and clean? I'm still having trouble getting them back together without leaving fingerprints on any of the elements. Are you wearing gloves for the re-assembly? It makes things a bit eas...

Re: What have you been working on lately?

Yesterday I disassembled a clip-on mount 1½ inch, f/3.5 lens for Bell & Howell Filmo 8s. It bears the name TELATE and is a Wollensak. It was also available with the ⅝"-32 thread. B. & H. defined an A, a B, a C, and a D mount for their cameras, the latter two are better known. This lens is a triplet...

I also wondered about this! There seems to be plenty to allow for a leader.
