Isolating Colors

I posted this in the filmmaking forum but it seems like no one really goes there, so here goes:

Does anyone know how to isolate an object in color while the rest of the shot is in black and white? I know you can do this in FCP but how? The only thing I know is that the shot has to be orginally in color. Any help would be appreciated.

Look for a filter with a name like "Colour pass".
