"A Wind" versus "B Wind"?

Post by Split8mm »

I've run across the terms "A Wind" and "B Wind" as I've been buying film supplies. What does this refer to? :?: Is it the same as clockwise versus counter-clockwise?

Thanks!

camera origional is B wind, so before you run film through a camera it is B-Wind, the same is true with projection, before you run your film throught the projector it is B-wind, after your film has been run through the camera or the projector it is then in A-Wind position. A-Wind is mainly used by labs.

Hope that helped some....
