I have a couple of jittery Tri-X and Plus-X rolls purchased last spring in my freezer, and I've been trying to use them up so I can free up some space.
Anyway, I killed two birds with one stone. I've been trying to find a way to make a decent car mount for my S8 camera. The car mounts described in the pages of S8 Filmmaker sound great but are beyond my meager technical abilities. That being the case, I attempted to find a way to secure a tripod in the passenger seat of my car. To test the setup, I sacrificed my jittery rolls, driving around and filming.
Here's a clip from the cart with the least amount of jitter. There's some jitter in the first and last frames. It's a Tri-X roll. It's also the first time I've filmed Tri-X in daylight, and I was surprised how bleak and forbidding the stock looks in daylight.
