EMM or EKS Projector bulb?

Post by jhoneycutt »

My 16mm B&H 1585C Filmsound Autoload Projector will take one of two projector bulbs. The stenciling on the projector says to use a EMM bulb, or a EKS bulb.

Can someone tell me the difference between the two?

Thanks.

Hi,

According to my research they are essntially the same thing....here is what I found:

EMM Bulb:

Also known as an EMM/EKS bulb

Watts: 250
Volts: 24
Length: 1.75"
Color Temp: 3400
Life: 50 hours
Type: Halogen
Base Type: GX7.9
Filament: CC8

EKS Bulb:

Also known as an EMM/EKS bulb

Watts: 250
Volts: 24
Length: 1.75"
Color Temp: 3400
Life: 50 hours
Type: Halogen
Base Type: GX7.9
Filament: CC8

Check out http://www.purelandsupply.com/ for projector bulbs. I've never ordered anything from them yet, but they have tons of projector bulbs.

Cheers,
