Manuals

Post by Filmosity »

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but it has to do with my two new cameras.

I'm looking for the following manuals, preferably in a free, photocopied, English language form:

Elmo Super 104 Super8 camera
Bolex B8SL regular 8mm camera

If anyone could give me a clue as to where I can get one, I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks,

Cavs

Since nobody seems to have exactly what you asked: I have a .pdf for the Bolex D8. Not exactly the same camera, but if it fits your needs, Email me.

Hello,

Where are you? If you are in the UK I've got a copy of the Elmo 104 manual which I would be happy to post to you to photocopy, you could then return it to me.

Let me know if that would be any help.

Well, I'm in the US. Might not be worth mailing over here. If you can scan it, that would be much easier (and cheaper) for both of us. Does this sound feasible?

manual for Elmo Super 104

Post by super8fireman »

I too have an Elmo Super 104 but no manual. Would really like to find one for reference. Can't seem to find one either for my Canon 310XL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you scan it and upload it here instead so everybody can access it? I'm sure there will also be more requests for these manuals later on.

Hello

I shall scan the manual for the Elmo 104 and upload it but it won't be straight away.

I have in the past uploaded a number of manuals and sales literature to this site but they still don't appear in the directory - they can only be accessed via the upload file and even then the two people that I did them for asked me to email them direct as they couldn't access them.

Am I doing something wrong :?:

Thank you! I appreciate the effort. Here's hoping the upload works and is accessible!

Mike,
I don't think you're doing anything wrong. What I suspect is that these people have a very paranoid system administrator who doesn't allow ftp connections.

I have schedueled to move all manuals from the ftp area to the http area which is availeble to anyone soon, so an upload will be benefitial for many people.

Thanks,
Andreas

PS! Thanks Reed for uploading!

The non-functioning FTP may be an issue of firewalls. At least it was with me. As a standard setting my firewall client blocked connections from that port number Andreas' FTP-server tried to connect with.

@ Awand: it seems that the Bolex D8 manual is missing as well. Or at least it's not in the list. May I send it? (what about an Email attachment? The firewall locks all FTPs from here).

I have an Elmo Super 106, not sure how different it is from the Super 104, but I just scanned and uploaded the manual here:

ftp://ftp.filmshooting.com/upload/manua ... nglish.zip

and some pages in HTML at:
