K40 daylight shooting

Do any of you shoot your T balanced K40 unfiltered and then time out the blue cast? If so what percentage change to blue channel on average are you using?

are you asking this because you accidently shot something without the filter or are you planning something for the future? Shooting unfiltered and then trying to compensate most likely won't give you very desirable results since the blue layer will end up overexposed so you will loose a lot of the blue color information, although you may want this effect for some reason......
Sorry I can't really answer your question, I still like responding so that I can feel important :-)

Hi Jess

No I have not exposed any film without 85 filter. I know it is a practice used by cinematographers to give a gritty rough look. I wanted to experiment but have a road map prior to shooting.

Thanks for your input

Yes, I shot some by mistake and didn't notice much difference. Probably because it was surfing and the water and sky were blue anyway so the extra blue cast didn't look so bad.
